Royce Luu

Professional Writer & Editor

About Me

Welcome! My name is Royce (he/him), and I'm an oxford comma fanatic, vinyl record collector, and an award-winning writer and editor.

As a graduate from York University with an Honours BA in Professional Writing, much of my experience and work have centralized around journalism, storytelling, and book publishing; for instance, I've published feature articles, authored short memoir pieces, and edited nonfiction manuscripts.

Recently, aside from writing and a few freelance gigs, I've been working in local community settings to help bolster educational and recreational initiatives for people of all ages.

I am always open to a diverse range of opportunities!

When I'm not writing, you can find me reading books and periodicals of all genres, (very poorly) playing keys, or editing my friends' cover letters.

My Mission

From the dissemination of knowledge to the preservation of culture and language, I intend for my published works to be both educational and thought provoking regardless of its subject matter. In particular, I want to shed more light on social issues in Canadian society to raise awareness and encourage people to participate in social advocacy.

My other pieces, particularly my volunteer work with INKspire, addresses issues and topics pertaining to young people, who I hope can introspect after reading my pieces.
