The Royal Masque Alumni Association is an organization that supports and promotes Bishop McDevitt High School’s drama club, the Royal Masque. With the permanent closure of the high school in 2021, RMAA's mission is to keep the more than fifty-year legacy of the Royal Masque alive. This is accomplished by actively maintaining social media platforms with relevant Royal Masque news, providing ways for alumni to stay connected, and by sharing opportunities in the arts for graduates of all ages. It is RMAA’s goal to host events such as workshops and cabarets, and to produce plays and musicals with the combined efforts of alumni and friends.
The doors of Bishop McDevitt High School and its famous stage may be closed for good but the legacy of the Royal Masque lives on. Many alumni have gone on to a plethora of careers under the umbrella of the arts from theatre to film to design. Graduation years, careers paths, and continents may separate students of the Royal Masque but all share its family name. With over five decades of alumni scattered across the globe, the legacy of the remarkable drama club at Bishop McDevitt High School will live on.
The Royal Masque Alumni Association website is a labor of love. It has room to grow and as such, it can always use additional information, photos, tidbits, etc. from all those who were part of Bishop McDevitt's drama club over the last fifty years. Please send any additions for review to rmasquealumni@gmail.com. Thank You!
