2. ARE ALL OF THESE PERMISSIONS REALLY NECESSARY? (DETAILED EXPLANATION)

Yes. Every single permission requested by RoValix is strictly necessary to perform its core functions and has been carefully chosen according to the principle of least privilege.
Here is an honest, transparent breakdown of the permissions we use, why they are required, and just as importantly, which permissions we intentionally avoid.
A. The "storage" Permission:
• Why it is needed:
The extension provides customizable features (e.g. toggling Streamer Mode, masking your Robux balance, choosing your preferred server region like US East or Europe, and adjusting UI options). The "storage" permission allows the browser to remember these choices locally via chrome.storage.local.
• Is it necessary?
Yes. Without the "storage" permission, all of your preferences would be lost the moment you close your browser tab or restart your computer, forcing you to reconfigure your settings every single time.
• What is stored?
Only basic configuration flags (e.g., {"streamerMode": true, "preferredRegion": "us-east"}). Absolutely no personal identifiers, passwords, or account tokens are ever written to storage.
B. The Host Permission: "https://*.roblox.com/*":
• Why it is needed:
RoValix enhances the visual interface of Roblox by adding server region badges, uptime statistics, the outfit inspector button, and applying privacy blur filters to Robux amounts during live streaming. Chrome requires explicit host permissions to inject these user-interface elements into web pages.
• Is it necessary?
Yes. Without host permission for roblox.com, the extension would be completely unable to display ping metrics on server lists or inspect outfits on profile pages.
• Is it restricted?
Yes, strictly restricted. The host permission is limited exclusively to "https://*.roblox.com/*". RoValix cannot see, access, or modify your browsing on any other website (such as Google, YouTube, banking sites, or social media).
C. Permissions We DELIBERATELY AVOID (And Why):
To ensure maximum user security and zero risk of account theft, RoValix intentionally does NOT request:
• NO "cookies" permission: We do NOT access, view, or touch your Roblox security session cookies (such as .ROBLOSECURITY). Your login credentials remain 100% isolated and untouchable.
• NO "webRequest" or "declarativeNetRequest": We do NOT intercept, inspect, or modify your network traffic.
• NO "<all_urls>" or broad host permissions: The extension has zero access to any website outside of roblox.com.
• NO "management" permission: The extension cannot inspect or manipulate other extensions in your browser.

4. HOW DATA IS PROCESSED AND STORED

All computational operations, DOM manipulations (such as blurring Robux amounts in Streamer Mode or showing outfit lists), and settings adjustments run 100% CLIENT-SIDE directly within your own browser engine.
No data is ever dispatched to external cloud servers, databases, or third-party web services. When you uninstall RoValix, all locally stored preferences are permanently deleted by your browser.
