Explaining the Moon Phases.

The Moon phases occur proportionally as is, due to the distance from the Sun, and similar proportional sizes of our Planet, with the Moon and Sun.

Aditionally the plane of elyptic rotation of the Moon around the Earth is slanted by a few degrees, from the rotation around the Sun. No doubt this helps in the Oceans tidal movements to and from Polar regions with the axis inclination of the Earth.
