If you want a rugged, full-coverage floor liner for your Ram bed that can handle heavy tools and hunting gear without shifting, choose Rough Country Truck Bed Mat; if you need a flexible, custom-fit shield specifically designed to protect the tailgate of your Ford Super Duty from mud and debris, choose AOMSAZTO Tailgate Mat Fit.
• Rough Country Truck Bed Mat: Its biggest strength is the 3/8" extra-thick Nyracord rubber construction that resists tearing and extreme temperatures, but it is strictly limited to Ram trucks with a 6'4" bed and excludes Rambox models. This pick is for Ram owners who need a permanent, drop-in solution for daily hauling and heavy-duty cargo.
• AOMSAZTO Tailgate Mat Fit: Its standout feature is the high-elasticity TPE material that recovers shape after folding and provides raised edges to contain spills, though it targets only the tailgate surface rather than the entire bed floor. This pick is for Ford F250/F350/F450 drivers who prioritize easy cleaning and protection against dirt on the tailgate.
• Both products offer non-slip surfaces, but their design philosophies differ: one is a heavy, stationary shield for the floor, while the other is a resilient, flexible cover for the vertical rear surface.
The Rough Country mat is built for the kind of abuse that happens when you are working hard or heading out into the wild. It uses a tear-resistant Nyracord rubber that feels virtually indestructible underfoot. At 3/8" thick, this isn't just a thin sheet of plastic; it is a substantial barrier designed to stop scratches, dents, and wear from heavy tools, lumber, or equipment sliding around during transit. The knobby underside keeps the mat securely in place, preventing that annoying sliding sound when you slam the tailgate or accelerate.
For the hunter, this mat offers peace of mind when loading game or dragging heavy packs across the truck bed. The textured surface prevents cargo from shifting, creating a skid-resistant foundation that keeps your load stable. Because it is custom molded for the 6'4" bed of Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 models, it covers the floor edge-to-edge without gaps where water or dirt could pool. It handles extreme temperatures and sun exposure without cracking or fading, which is essential for a vehicle that sits outside all day.
However, you should skip this product if you do not own a compatible Ram truck. It is not universal; it will not fit vehicles outside the specific model years listed, and it explicitly does not work with Rambox models. If you have a different bed size or a truck with side storage compartments like Ramboxes, this mat simply won't seat correctly. While the weight contributes to its stability, it means installation is a simple "drop-in" but moving it requires some effort. It is a permanent fixture, not something you plan to take off every weekend.

The AOMSAZTO mat serves a very different purpose, focusing entirely on the tailgate of Ford Super Duty trucks. It is constructed from upgraded TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material, which offers a unique combination of hardness and elasticity. Unlike rigid plastics that might crack under stress, this material is hard to deform yet easy to recover, meaning it bounces back to its original shape even if you fold it or drive over it. This flexibility makes it an excellent choice for the tailgate, where impacts and flexing are common.
Its primary advantage lies in containment. The raised edges are specifically engineered to protect the carpet underneath from dirt, grime, oil spills, paint stains, and other corrosive messes. If you haul wet gear, muddy boots, or use the tailgate as a workspace, these lips keep the liquid and debris from running down into the bed or onto your clothes. The anti-skid technology on the textured surface ensures the mat stays put on the tailgate, providing a shield that keeps you and your family cleaner. It is also incredibly easy to maintain; whether you have dust, dirt, or sand on it, a quick rinse with water or a wipe with a damp towel cleans it up in minutes.
This product is ideal for the Ford F250, F350, and F450 owner looking for all-weather protection specifically for the rear hatch. It fits edge-to-edge for maximum coverage on that specific panel. However, buyers must be aware that it is designed for the tailgate only, not the entire bed floor. If you are looking for a complete bed liner system, this will only cover the bottom of the gate. It is also crucial to note that this mat is not compatible with drop-in liners; it is intended to be installed directly onto the tailgate surface of the specified Ford models from 2017 to 2022.

I would choose the Rough Country Truck Bed Mat if my priority was protecting the entire floor of my truck for serious hauling or long hunting trips where gear is dragged across the bed constantly. The sheer mass and durability of the 3/8" rubber provide a level of security that a thinner mat cannot match. However, for someone whose main concern is keeping the tailgate clean from muddy boots and wet gear, the AOMSAZTO option is the smarter, more targeted investment. In my opinion, the Rough Country mat is the superior choice for the dedicated hunter because the 6'4" bed coverage protects the most vulnerable area from heavy loads, ensuring your truck bed stays pristine season after season.
It is designed for standard 6'4" beds on Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks.
Cleaning is straightforward; the product information notes that you can wash off dust, dirt, or sand with just water or a damp towel, making it a low-maintenance option for dirty environments.
No, the specifications clearly indicate that the AOMSAZTO mat is not a fit for drop-in liners. It is designed to be installed directly onto the tailgate surface of compatible Ford Super Duty trucks.
The Rough Country mat is constructed from durable Nyracord rubber that stands up to extreme temperatures and sun exposure without cracking or fading, whereas the AOMSAZTO focuses on elasticity and water resistance.
