I work as a Faculty member and Researcher at the School of Architecture and Urbanism of Mackenzie Presbyterian University (FAU-UPM). I hold a PhD in Science, specializing in Regional and Urban Planning (2015), a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism, focusing on the History and Fundamentals of Architecture and Urbanism (2005), and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism (1985), all from the University of São Paulo (USP).
My doctoral research, titled "Joseph-Antoine Bouvard in Brazil: The Improvements of São Paulo and the Creation of Cia. City – Interconnected Actions," (Joseph-Antooine Bouvard no Brasil: os Melhoramentos de São Paulo e a criação da Cia. City - açrões inerligadas) received an Honorable Mention at the 2016 CAPES Thesis Award and was a finalist at the X Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism.
Beyond my contributions to peer-reviewed journals, I authored the book "Neoclassical Manifestations in the Paraíba Valley: Lorena and the Imperial Palms," (Manifestações neoclássicas no Vale do Paraíba: Lorena e as palmeiras-imperiais" which earned Eugenia Sereno Cultural Prize in the Regional History category.
Regarding my academic leadership roles, I served as the Research Coordinator at FAU-UPM (2020–2022) and was a member of the Core Faculty Steering Committee (NDE) from 2020 to 2023. I currently lead the research group "Historicidades: Urban and Architectural Culture in Brazil."
