My Reiki Lineage

I have trained in both western and Japanese style Reiki. I was first introduced to Reiki in 2004 by Tina Shaw of the wonderful Reiki Evolution group of master teachers, who base their teachings on the original Japanese practices such as taught by Hiroshi Doi. Taggart King, the founder of the Reiki Evolution group, has also received empowerments from Chris Marsh, who received the energy of Usui from a Tendai Buddist nun who had trained with him. I love the Japanese based approach to Reiki, it is an uncluttered and simple style of energy work.

I also trained to practitioner level with Marco de Alberdi of the School of the Living Light, which was both a memorable and inspirational experience.

My Master Teacher training in 2009 with the excellent Tina Shaw has added yet another dimension to my Reiki practice. I feel I am now able to be "reiki" for more of the time! Being a Reiki Master to me is more a state of being to attain and maintain. It is more about being on the path to mastery using the tool of teaching and practice. I am always ready to learn more and increase my own understanding of Reiki energy....this will undoubtedly be a lifelong process.
