Effective date: June 12, 2026
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Room Layout Sketch ("the App") is a room layout sketching tool that helps you plan furniture placement. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
We do not require an account to use the App.
When you use the App, you may create and store:
Room names, room types, and dimensions
Wall segments, door and window positions
Furniture footprints, colors, labels, and layout positions
Layout check results and saved plan snapshots
App settings such as unit, grid density, language, and theme
Optional room reference photos that you choose from your library or capture with the camera
This information is used to provide the App's core sketching, checking, and plan review features.
In the current App experience, we do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate an in-app advertising profile for you.
The App is designed so that your room sketch records and optional reference photos are handled for your use of the App's features rather than for creating a personal advertising profile inside the App.
The App may request the following permissions only when you take a related action:
Permission
Purpose
Photo Library (Read)
Let you choose an optional room reference photo
Camera
Let you take an optional room reference photo
Photo Library (Add)
Save an exported layout image when you choose to export
If you deny a permission, you can still create room sketches by entering dimensions and layout details manually.
We use the information described above to:
Display and edit your room sketches
Run layout checks such as overlap, out-of-wall, door swing, walkway width, and window-area issues
Save and reopen room records and plan snapshots
Remember your settings preferences
Generate exported layout images when you request export
We do not use your room sketches or reference photos for automatic room recognition or AR measurement.
Room records, plan snapshots, settings, and optional reference photo files are stored on your device using the App's local storage mechanisms (including the app sandbox and on-device preferences storage).
You can delete saved room records from Settings using Clear Room Records. Sample room content included with the App is not removed by that action.
If you uninstall the App, locally stored records that remain in the app sandbox may be removed according to iOS behavior.
We do not sell your personal information.
The App does not include social sharing, public posting, or cloud account sync features in its current review-facing experience.
Information may be shared only in these limited situations:
When you choose to export: If you save a layout image to your photo library, that image is stored in your Photos library under your control.
When required by law: We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
The current review-facing version of the App does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or in-app purchases that collect personal data through the App experience described here.
If third-party services are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before or when those services become available.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
You can:
Decline photo or camera permissions and continue with manual room input
Delete saved room records from Settings
Uninstall the App to remove locally stored app data according to iOS behavior
