Roman Reigns' new theme song was created by the WWE Music Group partner Def Rebel - who took CFO$'s place following their departure and disagreement over royalty payments. Anthony Mirabella hinted on Instagram that he was the brains behind Roman Reigns' new theme song. While it hasn't been confirmed, it's largely believed that Mirabella was the man behind it.

When Roman Reigns was asked about a new theme song following his heel turn in 2020, he explained that he wasn't automatically a bad guy by default. Roman Reigns said that fans saw gradual steps but it all needed to add up:

The change in theme song seems to suit Roman Reigns' persona. His previous theme song was a slightly altered version of The Shield's. He had been using it as a singles superstar since 2014 and had been associated with that sound since 2012.

Roman Reigns has been using his new entrance theme, "Head of the Table" since his last title defense against Daniel Bryan back in late April. Since then, it's become as big of a staple of Reigns' onscreen persona as his yearlong Universal Championship reign, and its official post on WWE's YouTube channel has more than six million plays. Reigns praised the final product during an interview with Bleacher Report earlier this week but also revealed that he and Vince McMahon ("The Big Man" as he called him) didn't see eye-to-eye on the song at first.

"A lot of it was just trying to create that iconic feel to where immediately you know, 'Oh, he's here. He's coming out,'" Reigns said. "That's where we went with the two different beats, the two different melodies: to have that 20-, 25-second opening that's preparing them. I wanted it to transition from there into something more I could vibe to. The old Shield Roman Reigns theme was cool, and it grew on me. And if you do something over and over for a long time, you figure out how to vibe to it, but this is a track that makes my head nod, and you'll see it and my cousins are doing the same thing in the back. It gives you that ultimate swag when you're walking out. And especially for an entrance, that's the most important thing: people seeing and feeling that swagger and energy and confidence coming off of you."

The official WWE Twitter shared a video debuting the song, adding the caption, "The Head of the Table emerged for his #UniversalTitle Match against @WWEDanielBryan on #SmackDown with a whole new theme song."

A great theme song can be the make or break of certain superstars in WWE. Without a strong entrance theme, the overall presentation of a wrestler can be poorly affected. It is the first impression for the audience when they see someone, and it can often tell a lot about a gimmick or character.

During his time as a heel, Sami Zayn dropped his iconic theme song. However, 2023 has seen a return for Worlds Apart, which was his anthem in the likes of NXT and early on in WWE. As a babyface, this fits Zayn perfectly, with it being upbeat, happy, positive, and well-fitting for an underdog.
