Our Lab studies the role of plant-soil-microbe interactions in ecosystem adaptation, transformation, and resilience in response to environmental change. We use a combination of biogeochemical and multi-omics tools to link microbial activity with ecosystem function. We are particularly interested in understanding how environmental stress impacts plant and soil microbiomes, their functions, and their cascading effects at the ecosystem level.
I will be accepting graduate students through the PhD in Microbiology and Cell Science as well as the PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology.
