If you want a wired, open-back studio experience that lets you hear your surroundings while playing digital piano with glasses, choose Roland RH-A7-BK; if you need a wireless, noise-isolating in-ear system for live performance or stage monitoring where freedom of movement is critical, choose Befuoiu UHF.
These two devices serve completely different worlds. One is a stationary tool for focused practice and audio production, while the other is a mobile kit for performers who must move without cables. Choosing between them isn't about which brand is more famous; it is about whether you are sitting at a keyboard or standing on a stage. For glasses wearers specifically, the fit and pressure points around the ears become the deciding factor. The over-ear design of the Roland offers a breathable buffer, whereas the in-ear nature of the Befuoiu requires a perfect seal to block out stage noise.
• Roland RH-A7-BK: Its biggest strength is the open-air design that provides natural sound reproduction and comfort for long sessions, but its trade-off is the lack of isolation and the requirement for a wired connection.
• Befuoiu UHF: Its biggest strength is the UHF wireless technology that eliminates cable drag and offers 33dB of passive noise cancellation, but its trade-off is the shorter five-hour battery life compared to a truly unlimited wired device.
• Who each pick is for: The Roland fits students and pianists who need to hear their instructor clearly, while the Befuoiu fits vocalists and musicians who need to hear themselves over a loud band.
The Roland RH-A7-BK is built for one specific environment: the quiet, focused space of home practice or a studio setting. As an open-air monitor headphone, it uses a 40mm dynamic driver to deliver a wide dynamic range that captures the subtle nuances of digital instruments. This is not just about hearing notes; it is about hearing the character and depth of the instrument. If you play a modern digital piano, this headset ensures you do not lose the immersive tone even when practicing silently. The open-back design is the key feature here. It allows air to flow through the earcups, preventing that stuffy, hot feeling common with sealed headphones. This makes it an ideal choice for best long battery life bluetooth earbuds for glasses wearers scenarios, though technically this is a wired solution that never runs out of power as long as it is plugged in.
For those who wear eyewear, the physical design of the RH-A7 is a significant advantage. The earpads feature a soft suede finish that feels luxurious against the skin. More importantly, the open-air construction means the headband does not clamp down with the same intensity as many closed-back models. Glasses arms can rest comfortably under the pads without being pinched or creating painful pressure points after an hour of playing. This breathability is crucial for extended practice sessions where you might forget you are wearing anything. The lightweight construction further aids in this comfort, weighing in at 16 ounces, which keeps the strain on your neck and head to a minimum.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for noise isolation to block out a noisy living room or a bustling coffee shop, this is the wrong tool. The open format means sound leaks out, and external sounds leak in. You cannot use these to block out traffic while trying to focus on a melody. Additionally, because they are wired via a 3.5mm jack, you are tethered to your instrument or audio source. There is no Bluetooth capability here. This limits mobility significantly. If you need to walk around your house while playing or switch between different instruments frequently, the cable will get in the way. It is also worth noting that these do not have active noise control features; they rely entirely on the acoustic design. If you need to hear your teacher's instructions or talk to someone in the room while playing, the open design excels, but if you need total silence, you will be disappointed.
The Befuoiu UHF system is engineered for the high-pressure environment of live performance and professional recording studios. Unlike the stationary nature of the Roland, this is a fully wireless in-ear monitor (IEM) system designed to give performers the freedom to move across a stage without tripping over cables. The core of its appeal lies in the UHF circuit, which resists interference from other wireless devices, ensuring a stable signal connection even when multiple transmitters are nearby. This stability is non-negotiable for anyone performing live. If the signal drops during a song, the consequences are immediate and disruptive. The system includes a bodypack receiver and a rechargeable transmitter, both built to handle the rigors of touring or regular gigging.
For glasses wearers, the in-ear form factor presents a different set of dynamics. While there are no earcup clamps to worry about, the security of the fit becomes paramount. The Befuoiu comes with six sets of ear buds in various sizes (S/M/L), allowing users to find a custom seal that stays secure even during vigorous movement. These earphones offer up to 33dB of passive noise cancellation, which effectively blocks out ambient stage noise. This allows the musician to hear their mix clearly without having to crank the volume to dangerous levels. The metal enclosure of the earpieces adds durability, suggesting a build quality meant to withstand the bumps and scrapes of a live show. The balanced armature drivers ensure high-fidelity sound reproduction, making them suitable for discerning ears that need accurate monitoring rather than just background music.
The trade-offs here revolve around power and comfort duration. The system boasts a built-in 1000mAh rechargeable battery that charges in two hours but provides only five hours of continuous use. For a short rehearsal or a single set, this is sufficient, but for a full day of festivals or multi-hour gigs, you may need to swap batteries or charge mid-day. Furthermore, in-ear monitors require a good seal to function correctly. If you have sensitive ear canals or specific anatomical issues, the sensation of having something inside your ear can be uncomfortable over long periods. While they block outside noise, they also isolate you completely, meaning you cannot easily hear someone calling your name unless you take them out. This level of isolation is great for focus but terrible for interaction with bandmates who are not wearing IEMs.

After analyzing the specs and intended use cases, I would buy the Roland RH-A7-BK if my primary goal was improving my piano skills at home. The combination of the open-air design and the soft suede earpads makes it the superior choice for glasses wearers who spend hours practicing. It removes the pain points associated with clamping pressure and heat, allowing me to focus entirely on the music and my technique. The lack of battery anxiety is also a massive plus for daily practice routines.
However, if I were stepping onto a stage as a vocalist or musician needing to hear myself over a loud drum kit, I would immediately switch to the Befuoiu UHF. The wireless freedom and the noise cancellation provided by the in-ear design are indispensable for live performance. The ability to adjust frequencies ensures I won't lose my signal in a crowded venue. Ultimately, the Roland is the best rechargeable headphone for glasses wearers in a static setting, while the Befuoiu is the necessary tool for the mobile performer. Your decision should hinge on whether you are sitting at a keyboard or moving across a stage.
The Roland RH-A7-BK is generally considered more comfortable for glasses wearers due to its open-air design and soft suede pads that reduce pressure on the temples.
