Welcome to my homepage
Hello! I’m Dr. Rohit Sarma Sarkar, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS-TIFR), Bengaluru, India. My academic journey began at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where I earned my PhD in 2024 as a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF) under the guidance of Dr. Bodhayan Roy in the Department of Mathematics.
I am currently working with Prof. Jaikumar Radhakrishnan on problems in quantum complexity and quantum information. My broader research lies at the intersection of quantum computing, quantum machine learning, quantum circuits, quantum information, linear algebra, and quantum walks. I enjoy exploring fundamental questions in quantum theory while also thinking about how these ideas can translate into real-world quantum technologies.
I am always open to collaborations in mathematics and quantum research, and I enjoy connecting with researchers who share a curiosity for these fields.
