Welcome to my homepage
Hi, I am Rohit. I am the Director of Research in the Quantum Division at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona. I am also a Marie-Curie Fellow under the MSCA-Ramon Llull AIRA program. Before this, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS-TIFR), Bengaluru, India. I earned my PhD in 2024 from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur as a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF) under the guidance of Dr. Bodhayan Roy in the Department of Mathematics.
I work primarily on Quantum Machine Learning with Dr. Sergi Abadal and Prof. Eduard Alarcón at UPC. At ICTS, I worked with Prof. Jaikumar Radhakrishnan on problems in quantum complexity and quantum information. My broader research lies at the intersection of quantum computing, quantum machine learning, quantum circuits, quantum information, linear algebra, and quantum walks.
I enjoy exploring fundamental questions in quantum theory while also thinking about how these ideas can translate into real-world quantum technologies. I am always open to collaborations in mathematics and quantum research, and I enjoy connecting with researchers who share a curiosity for these fields.
