If you want glow-in-the-dark AirPods skins that make earbuds easier to identify, choose RockMax AirPod Skins; if you need an insulated lunch tote for carrying meals, choose Oplp Headphones Insulated Lunch. For gym use, the practical difference is simple: RockMax is an accessory for AirPods, while Oplp is a meal carrier—not headphones. Neither is a gym audio device, and neither should be mistaken for one.
RockMax AirPod Skins vs Oplp Headphones Insulated Lunch at a Glance
• RockMax’s biggest strength: Glow-in-the-dark skins help distinguish and spot compatible AirPods in low light after they have been exposed to light. Trade-off: They are decorative stickers, not earbuds or a protective audio device.
• Oplp’s biggest strength: An insulated tote with a wipe-clean lining, several pockets, and a detachable buckle handle for carrying meals. Trade-off: It is a lunch bag, not a headset or an AirPods accessory.
• Choose RockMax if you already own compatible AirPods and want a distinctive look that may make them easier to find in a dim room.
• Choose Oplp if you need to transport food and want separate places for utensils, small items, and a water bottle.
• For a gym kit, these products serve different needs: RockMax relates to identifying earbuds; Oplp relates to packing food.
RockMax is a set of thin, glow-effect stickers for compatible AirPods. The skin is intended to add a noticeable lightning design and make earbuds easier to recognize, particularly in low light after the material has been exposed to light. That could be useful when you leave your earbuds on a bedside table, pack them in a bag, or share a household where similar-looking pairs can get mixed up.
The listed compatibility includes AirPods 1, 2, 3, and 4, along with Pro, Pro 2, and Pro 3. The design is described as thin and intended to preserve normal charging and sensor use when applied correctly. The package includes left and right skins plus a spare, pre-aligned applicators, an instruction card, and cleaning supplies. The spare is a practical touch: it gives a first-time installer another piece to work with if alignment takes a try.
I’d consider RockMax if I already had a compatible pair and wanted a small visual customization that also helps with identification. The glow needs prior light exposure, and its intensity varies with the exposure and time, so it is not a self-powered locator that stays equally bright in every situation. Skip it if you need earbuds, gym audio, or a substantial case or impact-protection solution; the product is a skin sticker, not a replacement for any of those things.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.

Despite the word “Headphones” in its product name, Oplp is an insulated lunch tote. Its listed purpose is carrying meals, not playing audio. The construction combines polyester Oxford fabric, a thickened quilted middle layer, and a food-grade PEVA lining. The description says it is designed to keep food hot or cold for hours, which suits a packed meal for work, a shift, or an outing. It does not specify an exact temperature range or a guaranteed retention time, so I would treat that claim as general guidance rather than a precise performance promise.
The main compartment measures 8 x 4 x 10 inches. There is a front zipper pocket for utensils or small essentials, an inner mesh section, and a side mesh holder for a water bottle. The lining is described as wipeable with a damp cloth, a useful feature for ordinary spills. A top woven strap has a quick-release buckle and can attach to a backpack, briefcase, or suitcase, giving the bag another carrying option beyond holding it by hand.
Oplp makes sense if your real need is transporting lunch for an office day, work shift, road trip, or picnic. The multiple storage areas help separate food containers from smaller items, while the buckle gives you a way to attach the tote to other luggage. But it is not a gym headset, earbuds, or headphone case. If you arrived looking for audio gear, the name may be confusing; this product’s stated features are about food storage and transport.
• Need a glow-effect accessory for compatible AirPods? → RockMax AirPod Skins. The skins are designed to add a lightning pattern and help with identification after light exposure.
• Need to carry a packed meal? → Oplp Headphones Insulated Lunch. It has an insulated main compartment and a wipeable PEVA lining.
• Want something related to finding earbuds in a dim room? → RockMax. The glow effect depends on prior exposure to light, and the brightness varies.
• Need pockets for lunch accessories? → Oplp. It includes a front zipper pocket, an inner mesh section, and a side mesh bottle holder.
• Need a product for gym audio? → Neither. RockMax is a skin for AirPods you already own; Oplp is a meal tote. Neither provides earbuds or headphones.
• Want to distinguish your AirPods from someone else’s? → RockMax. Its visible design is meant to make the earbuds easier to recognize.
• Want to attach a lunch tote to a backpack or suitcase? → Oplp. Its quick-release buckle handle is designed for that kind of carry.
• Trying to choose the best IPX7 waterproof earbuds for gym? → Neither product fits that search. The RockMax sheet describes sweat- and water-resistant skins, not an IPX7 rating or earbuds. Oplp is a lunch bag.
These categories matter more than the shared wording in the product names. A shopper searching for a “best multipoint gaming headset for gym” is looking for audio functions that neither listing describes. Likewise, someone searching for “best sleep headphones for gym” will not find sleep or headphone features in either product. RockMax may be relevant if the person already owns compatible AirPods and wants a distinctive skin, but the skin itself does not add audio capabilities.
For gym routines, think in terms of what you actually need to pack. If you already take compatible AirPods and want to make them easier to spot in a locker area or bag, RockMax is at least related to that part of your routine. If you bring a prepared meal or snacks for after training, Oplp’s insulated compartment and separate pockets are the more relevant features. Neither product replaces a suitable pair of workout headphones or earbuds.
I would choose Oplp if I needed a lunch tote, because its insulation, wipeable lining, pockets, and detachable buckle handle address a clear everyday carrying job. I would choose RockMax only if I already owned compatible AirPods and wanted the glow-effect identification feature. For the gym, neither is audio gear; my recommendation is Oplp for carrying a meal, or RockMax for personalizing earbuds already in your kit.
No. RockMax is a set of skins for compatible AirPods, including listed AirPods and Pro-series models. It does not provide earbuds, Bluetooth audio, or headset features.
No. Oplp is an insulated lunch tote. Its listed features include a food-carrying compartment, pockets, a wipeable lining, and a detachable buckle handle—not audio playback.
The skins need exposure to light before they glow, and the glow’s intensity varies with the exposure and time. The product information does not promise a fixed brightness or duration.
It depends on the job, not on audio performance. RockMax can add a visible design to compatible AirPods; Oplp can carry a meal and small items. Neither is described as gym headphones or a gym-specific product.
