Robotics and Machine Learning (RML), Edition 2024
>> The lectures/talks will be in-person i.e., face-to-face (JULY 15 - 26) at DEEC-UC - room T4.4
The aim of this course is for students (bachelors, master or early-PhD) to understand the fundamentals (both theory and practical) of mobile Robotics and Applied Machine Learning (RML) and their applications to real-world problems. The RML's programme is divided in two modules:
(i) Hardware and software for mobile robotics;
(ii) Applied machine learning.
This short-term course is more devoted to the theoretical and practical elements of robotic perception, machine learning and computational intelligence.
Robotic Platforms: Jackal, TurtleBot3, others.
Sensors: 2D and 3D LiDARs, RGB, thermal, multispectral cameras.
Software: ROS, Matlab, Weka, Colab (Python)
