Robin Schaal

I am a third year Ph.D. candidate in Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and affiliated with the Centre for Central Banking. I am advised by Emanuel Moench and Benjamin Born (University of Bonn).

Between April and July 2026, I will join the Bank for International Settlements as a PhD Research Fellow in the Monetary and Economic Department.

My research interests are in macrofinance with a focus on sovereign bonds, interest rates, monetary policy and sovereign debt. 

Prior to my doctoral studies, I studied Finance at Frankfurt School and Bocconi and gained industry experience as a corporate finance analyst.
