Robb Misso founded Dynamic Manufacturing Solutions in an effort to change the way companies go about manufacturing in the United States. After watching companies outsourcing jobs to low-cost regions outside the US for years, he wanted to work with his team to bring manufacturing back home and transform the dominant work culture in the process. In 2017, 67% of what DMS shipped went overseas; this kind of trade flow reversal translates directly to jobs in Austin, TX for skilled laborers.
Mr. Misso is also a co-founder of the Austin Regional Manufacturer’s Association, an advocacy organization for manufacturers in Central Texas. Drawing on all his experience at DMS, he consults executive leaders on creating a positive culture: specifically, what culture means and how fostering positivity can serve everyone involved in a manufacturing organization as true stakeholders.
When he’s not at the office, Mr. Misso spends as much time as possible with his family. A long-time volunteer for several charitable organizations, he has paid special attention as of late to Share the Will, a non-profit dedicated to assisting recently-returned veterans in simple ways such as providing funds to celebrate Christmas. Mr. Misso is also on the executive board of the American Heart Association.
