RoastMe (“the App”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the RoastMe mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This policy complies directly with Apple’s App Store Guidelines regarding user privacy and data collection.

1. Information We Collect

To provide the core functionalities of RoastMe, we process certain data locally and via secure third-party services:

• User-Generated Content (Images and Text): The photos, screenshots, or text descriptions you upload for the explicit purpose of generating a "roast".

• User Preferences: Selected user settings (e.g., roast intensities, length, or categories).

• Technical and Usage Data: Anonymous, limited technical information, such as your device type, iOS version, application version, and basic performance logs.

2. How Your Information Is Used

We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:

• Providing Core Functionality: Processing your imported images/text through Artificial Intelligence to generate the requested result.

• App Optimization: Identifying crashes and improving the overall stability of the App.

• No Advertising: Your data, including uploaded images or generated text, is never sold, rented, or used for advertising or cross-app tracking purposes.

3. Data Storage and Privacy

RoastMe is built with a “privacy-first” approach.

• Local Storage First: Your roast history and preferences are primarily stored locally on your device.

• No User Accounts: The App does not require you to create an account or log in to use it.

• No Tracking: RoastMe does not use tracking frameworks to follow your activity across other apps or websites owned by other companies.

4. External AI Services and Third-Party Processing

To provide intelligent AI-powered analysis, the App utilizes external third-party services, specifically Google Gemini AI.

• Secure Transmission: When you request a roast, your image or text is transmitted securely to Google's API over an encrypted connection.

• No Identity Linking: The content is transmitted completely anonymously. No personal identity information (e.g., your name, email, or Apple ID) is ever linked to your request or sent to the AI service.

• No AI Training: Data sent via the enterprise Gemini API is used strictly to fulfill your specific prompt. It is not used by Google to train their foundational AI models.

• Ephemeral Processing: Once the AI generates the roast, the image/text is processed ephemerally and is not permanently retained by the developer on external servers.

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

RoastMe offers optional premium features processed entirely through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit.

• We do not collect or have access to your credit card information or direct billing details.

• Subscriptions are managed securely through your Apple ID. They automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

• You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscriptions at any time via your iOS device's native Apple ID Settings.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or trade personal information to third parties. Your data may only be disclosed externally if legally required to comply with binding legal obligations or to protect the security and integrity of the application.

7. Usage Data and Analytics

To identify performance bugs, limited anonymous usage data (e.g., Device type, OS version) may be collected. This information is completely anonymized and cannot be traced back to you personally. RoastMe does not participate in third-party advertising networks.

8. Children’s Privacy

RoastMe is intended for use by individuals aged 13 and older (subject to your regional App Store age rating). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child under this age has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take steps to remove it.

9. iCloud Backup

If you have iCloud backups enabled on your Apple device, your local application data (such as your saved history) will be included in those backups. This is governed strictly by Apple’s own privacy policies and secured by your Apple ID.

10. Your Rights and Data Control

You maintain full and complete control over your data.

• Deletion: You can delete your individual history directly within the App's interface.

• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the RoastMe App from your iOS device will permanently delete all associated app data stored locally on your device.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this policy to reflect new app features, improvements, or legal requirements. Your continued use of RoastMe after any updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
