Roadinfo Camera: Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 23, 2026 (Updated for Version 1.4.0+)
By using the Roadinfo Camera application (the "App"), you agree to the following terms and privacy practices. This document covers both Android and future iOS versions of the App.
I. TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Nature of Service and Accuracy of Information
Roadinfo Camera is an informational tool that overlays real-time road data (road name, number, kilometer markers) onto photos and videos.
Data Source: Road information displayed in the App is retrieved from public registries.
Accuracy Disclaimer: The road information provided is estimated. The App developer has not validated or verified the 100% accuracy of the source data or the resulting calculations.
Not for Precision Work: The App is intended for informational purposes only. It is not designed for land surveying, geodetic measurements, or any high-precision engineering tasks. It does not replace official measurement methods.
2. Intellectual Property and User Responsibility
Ownership of Content: All photos and videos captured with the App are the sole property of the user. The App developer claims no ownership over user-generated content.
User Liability: The user bears full responsibility for the content of the photos/videos, their distribution, and the use of the data captured therein.
Error Reporting: If you notice inaccuracies in the displayed road info, please contact the developer (see Section 11). This helps us determine if the error stems from App calculations or the source data.
3. Subscriptions and Payments (Google Play Billing)
The App offers monthly subscription plans managed via Google Play Billing. The developer does not collect or store any user payment information.
"No Ads Monthly Subscription":
Removes mandatory third-party interstitial and banner ads, and removes watermarks from photos.
Enables offline access to road information.
"Text Format Monthly Subscription" – Starting from Version 1.4.0:
Includes all benefits of the "No Ads" subscription.
Grants the user the ability to personalize the appearance of the data overlays from the settings menu: change text size, color, background style, background color, transparency, and other visual parameters.
Exceptions: Subscriptions do not remove "native" developer-placed branding (e.g., logos on background images) or voluntary rewarded ads that the user chooses to watch for specific bonuses.
II. PRIVACY POLICY
4. Personal Data Collection
Our core principle is privacy: We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any servers. All generated photos and videos are stored locally on the user's device.
5. Device Permissions
The App requires the following permissions to function:
Location (GPS): To determine road information and coordinates for the photo overlay.
Camera: To capture photos and videos.
Storage/Media: To save the media files directly to your device.
6. Third-Party Services and Ads
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
AdMob may collect and use certain data (e.g., device ID, location) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads according to Google’s privacy policy.
Users can opt out of mandatory third-party ads by purchasing one of the subscription plans listed above.
7. Data Locality
All information (photos, videos, coordinates, timestamps) captured by the App remains on your device. The developer has no access to your gallery, your location history, or your saved files.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from this age group.
9. Future Updates
These terms apply to future updates, including the upcoming iOS version, unless stated otherwise.
10. Changes to Terms
This document may be updated periodically. The latest version will always be available within the App or its store listing.
