Completed in 2018 the RLPOA Board has arranged for Km markers to be installed. Twenty seven markers, one every kilometre, are a great addition to our lake to allow the community to get outdoors, exercise and measure their fitness progress. The starting point is at the intersection of County Road 58 and Red Rock Road and route goes clockwise around the Lake. Many thanks to the many volunteers who worked with the County of Renfrew and the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards who made it happen.
Lake Trout Restocking
In 2012 a project was started to add 43,450 lake trout added to our lake over a four year period by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) with contributions from the Round Lake Property Owners Association, The Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards as well as individuals.
At the 2016 Annual Meeting it was reported that the restocking program is being assessed by MNRF. The assistance of local fisherman has been requested by logging their catches and reporting them to the Ministry. Log booklets are available from our Association Lake Stewart.(MMP John Yakabuski releasing trout - 2012 Pembroke Observer)
