TRAVELING ART EXHIBITS
Spotlighting the Truths and Triggers of Human Trafficking Survivors
from the Renee Jones Empowerment Center
"Feel what it's like to walk in our shoes"
These survivor-created interactive art exhibits invoke a raw look into the underworld of human trafficking and sexual assault.
When developing the exhibits in a trauma-informed setting, the survivors learn to make peace with their past as part of the healing process. They did this through journal entries, photo essays and audio recordings.
Sharing their truth empowers the survivors and educates the community about the gravity of this billion dollar, criminal enterprise.
Together we can spur social change by elevating public awareness about human trafficking and by seeking justice for those impacted by these crimes against humanity.
The survivors' truth exhibit shares powerful photographs and stories from their experience with human trafficking and sexual assault. This is the second installment of the UNLEASHED exhibit.
