Welcome
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Political Science at Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin, and hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
I study conflict behavior, defense cooperation spillovers, and the security-economy nexus in three interconnected streams. The first stream focuses on the role of domestic power structures, particularly civil-military relations, in shaping the bargaining behavior during conflict. The second stream examines the political and economic consequences of defense cooperation and geopolitical rivalry beyond the security domain. The third stream investigates the security-economy nexus by considering the implications of military involvement in the economy for conflict behavior. Methodologically, my portfolio includes survey experiments, text-as-data analysis, and strategies for causal inference.Â
My work has been published or is forthcoming in Conflict Management and Peace Science, British Journal of Politics and International Relations, and Security Studies.
