Riverside Neighbors Opposing Warehouses (R-NOW) is a grassroots community group which formed to oppose a proposal to build a mega-warehouse complex on the West Campus Upper Plateau, 800 acres of open space surrounded by our homes.
On May 12, 2025, we mobilized hundreds of community members to attend the public hearing on the project, and the March JPA Commission ultimately voted to deny it 8-0. {You can read more about it the In the News section.)
Right now, we continue our work by building coalitions and empowering sister communities throughout Western Riverside County with a CARB grant we won last year. The funds help build necessary infrastructure in environmental justice communities, so they can have a voice in land-use decisions that affect their daily lives.
We are also keeping a close eye on the West Campus Upper Plateau. Warehouse projects are like zombies. They never die. And if it comes back, we are ready to fight!
