saved trips in My Trips
personal catch photos in Gallery
favorite rivers
app settings and preferences
saved search history
optional cached river and species data for faster performance
RiverWatch does not require account creation and does not collect personal names, passwords, or payment information.
2. How Information Is Used
Stored information is used only to improve your in-app experience, including:
saving personal fishing trips
storing private catch photos
remembering favorite rivers
improving search speed
providing river condition smart estimates
improving seasonal fish timing displays
3. Private Storage
Your My Trips entries and Gallery photos are private.
These items are:
stored locally on your device
visible only to you
never shared publicly
never posted to other users
never transmitted to RiverWatch servers
If the app is deleted, locally stored trip entries and gallery photos may also be removed.
4. River Data and Estimates
River conditions, smart ratings, fish timing, and seasonal recommendations are provided as guidance and estimates only.
They are not live government sensor feeds and should not be relied upon as the sole source for safety, legal, or environmental decisions.
Always verify official river regulations, closures, and water conditions before fishing.
5. Official Regulations
RiverWatch may provide links to official British Columbia freshwater fishing regulations.
These links direct users to official BC government regulation resources.
Users are responsible for confirming the latest regulations before fishing.
6. Children’s Privacy
RiverWatch does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
