We are excited to offer an opportunity for parents, facilitators, Self-Directed Education community organizers, ALC startup groups, in the Central/Southern US Region to gather this summer to build on their practice and understanding of Self-Directed Education. This 4 day training is for anyone wanting to start an ALC, deepen their understanding of Agile tools and facilitation, and/or have time designated to engage more deeply with community and the flow of self-directed learning.

This training will be lead by the directors of Rivers and Roads ALC and hosted by Makarios ALC in Ft. Worth, Texas. The daily flow will mirror a day in the life of a student at an ALC : morning intention-setting, daily exploring, then regrouping in the afternoon to reflect. Experienced facilitators make offerings to share the theory and practices supporting Agile Learning Centers. However, this ALF training will be centered around the participants interests/ requests. More information regarding daily specifics and prerequisite readings will be sent to registered participants as that information becomes available.
