Many Members are aware of the issues surrounding the Great Salt Lake, with its water levels in Serious Decline. Changing weather patterns, drought and many other factors all contribute to this decline. Water use from tributaries into the lake has exceeded what is necessary to maintain sustainable water levels. (This is Not a Political issue, but a Stewardship issue) "We have a Sacred responsibility to take care of what Heavenly Father has given us. The Church has been taking steps to install "smart watering devices for the landscaping around our buildings and to overall reduce water usage. We have also donated water rights from property owned by the Church. They are asking "All members" to carefully consider personal ways to conserve valuable water resources. This is not a sacrifice but a true meaning of Stewardship and taking care of this world our Father in Heaven has given us.
