In the age of coronavirus, the #JerusalemaDanceChallenge video generated a counter-contagion. Almost overnight everyone from police departments in Africa to priests in Europe were posting their own Jerusalema dance videos that repeated the choreography.

"Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed" - UNESCO's motto.

UNESCO-75

UNESCO was created on 16 November 1945 in order to respond to the firm belief of nations, forged by two world wars in less than a generation that political and economic agreements are not enough to build a lasting peace. Peace must be established on the basis of humanity’s moral and intellectual solidarity.

UNESCO's main mission, as initially defined in its Constitution, was to establish the conditions of peaceful coexistence between nations. This mission was equivalent to an experiment in social engineering on a global scale, which consisted of working out and disseminating a new worldview based on a revised vision of humankind.

Money in Our Life

There are a lot of proverbs and idioms about money: “It doesn't buy happiness but it helps”, “Money begets money”, “Money is a good servant but a bad master”, “Money has no smell” and etc.

All these phrases were created many times ago and today they are still used on numerous occasions to describe some situations in the modern life. It shows the importance of money in our society and daily life. Some of us spend a whole life to earn as much money as it is possible, other people lose their mind and appreciate the fortune more than their family, love, humane attitude and moral values. Also there are people who don’t care about money at all, or take a deal with it reasonably. As there are many people there are many opinions.

In my opinion, a man should have enough money to satisfy the natural needs and a little bit more to become happy. Once W.S. Maugham compared it with the sixth feeling without which we cannot make a complete use of the other five. Probably, the writer is completely right, but it is too difficult to meet kind, humane, benevolent and honest rich people, because their fortune can easily destroy them and becomes their curse.

World Pets Day

Pets, or companion animals, play a very important role in many people’s lives. Some people even regard them as family members. So it’s not surprising that many pet owners (or “guardians”) celebrate World Pet Day. This unofficial holiday has several possible dates, the most popular ones being September 27 and November 30.

I love animals very much. I have a cat and a dog. The cat is always there and it helps me relax. And the dog is in the country , but I often visit her. The cat's name is Kuzya and it is black. He has beautiful green eyes and a long tail , as well as a white spot on the neck. The dog's name is Julia, I really like to play and run with her, she is kind and well-mannered. Julia is also black and has a white spot on the neck. The dog has very beautiful and kind brown eyes. But my cat is very lazy and doesn't always want to play with me. That's why I often go out with Julia, she likes it. When she sees me, she immediately jumps on my feet . But Kuzya doesn't meet me, he's always asleep. But I still love him very much, and I love Julia too.

The Animals I Admire

Most animals are man's best friends. It is especially true about domestic animals, because there is also a great number of dangerous and poisonous species, which bring people nothing but inconvenience. In my opinions people should live in harmony with nature and other living creatures. Most of all l admire horses. These four-legged animals are very kind, graceful and noble. They say that in Ancient China the horse was considered to be the best property of the Emperor. In my opinion, they are one of the most beautiful creatures in the world. Their coat can be of white, black, chestnut, silver and mixed markings. Its long hair on a beautiful neck is known as a mane. They have large eyes with deep, smart look in them. If l had enough money, l would definitely buy several horses and a stable. I would take good care of them: everyday I let them walk around. All in all, l think horses are faithful animals!
