Hello! 

I am a researcher with ten years of experience in academic & policy research. Trained as a lawyer, I am interested in shaping legal and regulatory frameworks that drive a just and equitable energy transition. I currently work at the Center for the Study of Science, Technology and Policy. 

Growing reliance on the market to combat climate change makes governance, accountability, and due process very important. Towards that, I use my legal training and research experience to provide practical, first-principle-based solutions that promote accountability and equity in public infrastructure delivery. 

I have participated as a primary researcher in funded projects on topics including energy access patterns by the urban poor, evolving regulatory governance in the renewable sector, the role of small-scale entrepreneurs in supporting decentralised energy in cities, and introducing long-term reforms to regulatory bodies.

I have developed qualitative and quantitative research skills and have also been involved in organising stakeholder consultations and workshops, conducting interviews and presenting my work at conferences. I have provided research and analysis for government agencies, including the Reserve Bank of India, Niti Aayog, and National Mission for Clean Ganga, on regulatory drafting, policy formulation, and introducing constitutionally sound amendments.

I have previously held research positions at National Law University-Delhi, the Indian Institute for Human Settlements-Bengaluru and the National Law School of India University-Bengaluru.
