Talaqnama Form In Urdu Pdf Download -- How to Get and Fill Out a Divorce Notice in Pakistan

A talaqnama is a legal document that records the divorce of a Muslim couple in Pakistan. It is also known as a divorce notice or a divorce certificate. A talaqnama can be issued by either the husband or the wife, depending on who initiates the divorce. The talaqnama must be written in Urdu, the official language of Pakistan, and must contain the following information:

The name, father's name, identity card number, and address of the divorcing party.

The name, father's name, identity card number, and address of the other party.

The date and place of marriage.

The amount and status of the dowry (mehr).

        The reason for divorce.

The type and number of divorce (talaq).

The date and place of divorce.

The signature and thumb impression of the divorcing party.

The signatures and names of two witnesses.

A talaqnama can be issued in three ways: by oral declaration (talaq-e-sunnat), by written notice (talaq-e-taweez), or by court order (talaq-e-judicial). The most common and recommended way is by written notice, as it provides clear evidence of the divorce and avoids disputes. A talaqnama can also be issued in one, two, or three stages, depending on the number of times the word "talaq" is uttered or written. A single talaq (talaq-e-ahsan) is revocable within three months, a double talaq (talaq-e-hasan) is revocable within three menstrual cycles, and a triple talaq (talaq-e-bain) is irrevocable and final.
