Hey, I’m Rio.

Growing up by the ocean, I just loved being in the water, chasing waves, and living that coastal rhythm. 

Over time, I realised how much I loved sharing that feeling: helping others catch their first wave, improve their surfing and help people discover hidden surf spots in the deep south of Sri Lanka. 

That’s when I found my passion as a surf coach/guide as I was just after completing my Bachelor's in Sports Science and Management. Having worked in other top surf camps in Sri Lanka, and having worked in Search and Rescue internationally paved the road. 

Now, it’s time for something of my own. I’ve created a small intimate surf camp that goes back to the roots — no big parties, no distractions. Just pure surf, healthy food, connection, and good energy. 

A place to unwind, grow, and feel the rhythm of the waves again. Welcome to RIOSY!
