This app does all of its work directly on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or store your personal data on any server. We have no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. Your audio, video, and the files you create never leave your iPhone or iPad unless you choose to share or export them. Our official privacy nutrition label on the App Store is "Data Not Collected."
This document is written to satisfy Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1 (Data Collection and Storage), the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and Apple's App Privacy Details ("nutrition label") requirements.
This Privacy Policy applies to this mobile application (the "App") for iOS and iPadOS, published by Md Khaled Hasan Manna. It explains what data the App does and does not process, how your device permissions are used, and the privacy choices available to you.
It does not apply to:
Third-party apps or services you choose to send your files to (for example Apple GarageBand, Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, AirDrop, the Files app, or iCloud Drive). Those are governed by their own privacy policies.
The Apple App Store itself, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
On-device by design. All media processing (trimming, converting, merging, ringtone creation, waveform and filmstrip generation) is performed locally using Apple's AVFoundation frameworks. Nothing is uploaded for processing.
No data collection. We do not operate any servers, backends, or databases that receive your data. We cannot see, access, or recover any of your content.
No tracking. The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party software development kits of any kind. We do not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and we do not engage in "tracking" as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework — therefore the App does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
You stay in control. Files you create are stored locally and are deleted permanently when you delete them in the App or delete the App.
We do not collect, request, or process any of the following:
Name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
Account credentials or passwords (the App has no accounts and no login)
Precise or coarse location data
Contacts, calendar, reminders, or health data
Microphone input — the App does not record audio and does not request microphone access
Camera input — the App does not access the camera
Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any cross-app/cross-site tracking identifiers
Usage analytics, behavioral data, or telemetry
Payment or financial information — Pro subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple; we never receive or store your payment details or purchase history. The App contains no advertising.
Any data transmitted off your device
We do not maintain any server infrastructure, so there is no off-device store of your information to be breached, subpoenaed, or sold.
The following is processed only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:
Audio and video files you import — Why: to let you trim, convert, merge, and create ringtones. Where: a private copy in the App's sandbox (working/temporary storage). Leaves the device: No.
Files you create (.m4a, .m4r, .mp4) — Why: to save your results to the in-app Library. Where: the App's Documents container (Documents/MediaLibrary). Leaves the device: only if you export or share them.
Library metadata (file name, media type, duration, file size, creation date) — Why: to display and manage your saved items. Where: a local on-device database (Apple SwiftData). Leaves the device: No.
User preferences (theme, default export quality, default save destination, onboarding-completed flag) — Why: to remember your settings. Where: local on-device storage (UserDefaults). Leaves the device: No.
Diagnostic logs — Why: to help trace import/export behavior during development. Where: Apple's on-device unified logging system (os.Logger). Leaves the device: No — these stay on device and are not sent to us.
We have no ability to access any of the above. When you delete a file in the Library, or delete the App, the associated local files are removed from your device.
The App requests the minimum permissions necessary, and only at the moment a feature needs them (just-in-time), never on first launch. You can review or change these at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security, or in iOS Settings under the App's name.
5.1 Photos — Read Access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription)
Purpose string: "Access your videos so you can trim them or extract their audio."
Used only when you choose to import a video from your photo library (for trimming, merging, ringtone creation, or audio extraction). The App reads only the specific item you select. We do not scan, index, or upload your photo library.
5.2 Photos — Add-Only Access (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription)
Purpose string: "Save your edited videos to your photo library."
Used only when you explicitly tap Save to Photos for a video you created. This is "add-only" access: it lets the App write your finished video into Photos, and does not grant the ability to read your existing photos or videos.
5.3 Files
Importing from and exporting to the Files app uses Apple's system document picker. This does not require a special permission string and gives the App access only to the specific file(s) you select.
5.4 No Other Permissions
The App does not request microphone, camera, location, contacts, notifications, Bluetooth, local network, tracking, or any other permission.
If you deny a permission, the affected feature will explain what it needs and offer an alternative path (for example, importing from Files instead of Photos) or a link to open Settings. Denying a permission never sends any data anywhere.
The App provides several optional, user-initiated ways to get your created files out of the App:
Save to Library — keeps the file inside the App, on your device.
Save to Files — writes to the Files app (e.g., On My iPhone/iPad or iCloud Drive, at your choice).
Save to Photos — writes a finished video to your photo library (audio is not supported by Photos).
Share — opens Apple's standard system share sheet so you can send the file to another app or contact (Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, AirDrop, etc.).
Set Up as Ringtone — hands the .m4r file to Apple GarageBand (or the Files app or share sheet) so you can finish installing it as a ringtone (see Section 8).
In every case, you decide whether and where to send a file. Once a file is handed to another app, service, or contact, that data is governed by the privacy policy and terms of that third party, and is outside our control. We receive nothing back.
The App's media editing works on-device and the App contains no networking code of its own: it makes no network requests to us or to any analytics, advertising, telemetry, or content server. We operate no servers and receive nothing over the network.
There are, however, situations where iOS itself may use the internet on your behalf to fetch your own content so the App can edit it. These transfers are handled by Apple's frameworks between your device and your own Apple/iCloud account — the Developer does not initiate them to any server of ours, and does not receive, see, route, or store the transferred data:
iCloud videos/photos: If you import an item from your Photos library that is stored in iCloud and is not currently downloaded to your device (for example, when "Optimize iPhone Storage" is enabled), iOS's Photos framework will download that item from your iCloud account so the App can read it. The App enables this download only for the specific item you chose, and the download can be cancelled.
iCloud Drive files: If you import a file from the Files app that lives in iCloud Drive and isn't downloaded locally, iOS may likewise download it on demand.
Aside from these user-initiated, Apple-managed downloads of your own content, the App requires no internet connection and transmits nothing. Any such transfer is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, not by us. The only other outbound actions are ones you explicitly trigger from inside iOS — opening a support email, or tapping a link to our Privacy Policy, Terms, or the App Store — which are handled by iOS and the relevant Apple app, not by us collecting data.
iOS does not permit third-party apps to set the system ringtone automatically. To finish, you complete a user-initiated step: on iOS 26 and later via the system share sheet's "Use as Ringtone" action, or on earlier versions via Apple GarageBand. These steps are carried out by you using Apple's own system and apps; we do not control them and we receive no data back. Apple's handling of any data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
The App is a general-purpose media utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and is consistent with COPPA and the Apple Kids Category data-collection prohibitions. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal data, please contact us — although, by design, there is no such data for us to hold.
Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA grant rights to access, correct, delete, port, and restrict the processing of personal data, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data.
Because the App does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, there is no personal data held by us to access, export, correct, or delete, and there is nothing for us to "sell" or "share." You exercise full control directly on your device:
Access / portability: your created files are in the App's Library and can be exported to Files, Photos, or shared at any time.
Deletion: delete any item in the Library, or delete the App, to permanently remove the associated files from your device.
We are the data controller for the (minimal, on-device-only) processing described here. As we hold no personal data and you can manage everything locally, no separate request to us is required to exercise these rights — but you may still contact us with any privacy question at the address in Section 14.
Security: Data stays within the App's sandboxed storage, protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing and device-level encryption (Data Protection) when your device is locked with a passcode. We never transmit your content, eliminating network-interception risk.
Retention: We do not retain any of your data on our side because we never receive it. Locally, your files and metadata persist on your device until you delete them or remove the App. Temporary working files created during editing can be cleared at any time via Settings > Storage > Clear Temporary Files, and are not part of your saved Library.
Payments: The App offers an optional auto-renewable Pro subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account; we never see or store your payment information or purchase history. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Consistent with this policy, our App Store App Privacy disclosure is:
Data Used to Track You: None
Data Linked to You: None
Data Not Linked to You: None
Overall: Data Not Collected
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where required, describe the change. If a future version of the App ever introduces a feature that changes data practices (for example, optional analytics or in-app purchases), we will update this policy before that feature is released and, where legally required, request your consent. Material changes will be made available within the App and/or at the published policy URL.
