The MOW/Pantry Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and oversight of the pantry. Key duties include volunteer management, inventory control, reporting, donor solicitation, and follow-up.
Duration: Full Academic Year
Main Supervisors: Pantry Graduate Assistant and Rider Service & Leadership Development Intern
Qualifications: Must have experience with Meals on Wheels and the Rider Pantry.
Hours per week: Complete 10-15 in-person shifts at Meals on Wheels and/or the Rider Pantry.
Campus-wide support
Complete shifts at both the Pantry and at Meals on Wheels on a weekly basis.
Assist in recruiting and training volunteers.
Collaborate with the Graduate Assistant to manage and oversee volunteer staff.
Promote and market services (Social media posts, Flyers, Tabling events)
Create and distribute the pantry newsletter bi-weekly, and provide updates for the Student Affairs Newsletter weekly.
Support pantry educational programs.
Ensure the completion of daily tasks.
Take and distribute notes from volunteer meetings.
Administrative Tasks
Assist with end-of-week inventory assessments for pantry restocking.
Support tracking of pantry users and maintain accurate records.
Document and recognize student group donations/events on Office of Service & Civic Engagement social media.
Ensure up-to-date pantry user information is maintained.
Additional Assignments
Serve as a student representative on the Pantry Advisory Board.
Represent the Rider Resource Pantry at various events and meetings as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
