The Marketing & Communications Intern will focus on helping create a culture of service at Rider through an active leadership role in providing a multi-media presence for the Rider Bonner program and all other services at Rider on campus and in the greater community.
Term Duration: Full Academic Year
Main Supervisor: Senior Bonner Intern
Qualifications: Must have completed 1 full year in the Bonner Program. Must have experience with social media platforms and content creation.
Hours per week: Complete 10-15 hours of in-person office hours.
Rider Bonner Program
Maintains the social media accounts and posts at least 2 posts per week
Creates weekly Bonner newsletter which is sent on Mondays
Creates information packets & other promotional materials to collaborate with the Office of Admissions
Maintains consistent communication with our staff & student leaders of the Bonner program
Maintains Rider Bonner website & keeps it updated
Upkeeps information on Bonner Birthdays and creates posts
Reach out to potential speakers/clubs/organizations for weekly meetings
In charge of the Bonner calendar and allows all Bonners to have access to all events
In charge of Bonner photo albums (iPhone album & Google Docs)
Plans and implements Junior Rejuvenation
Campus-Wide Community Service
Develops and spreads the Office of Service Learning’s brand and messaging
Provides pictures & stories to Rider University Communications Office
Creates informational materials for Open Houses, Admitted Students Days, and New Student Orientation
Collaborates with The Bronc Radio Station and Rider News to promote Campus Wide Days of Service
Helps develop outreach and marketing campaigns to raise awareness about the mission, activities, and goals of the Office of Service Learning
Supports other campus Service Clubs & Orgs as needed in promoting the Rider brand
Additional Responsibilities
Designs brochures, flyers, info-graphics & other marketing materials
Maintains Canva page
Collaborates with BLT President for social media presence during Open Houses, Admitted Students Day, New Student Orientation, and other events
Liaison to Campus Engagement Intern
Meets weekly with the Intern Team
Creates a weekly agenda for the Intern meetings, and collects notes during the meetings.
