The Bonner Impact Intern promotes, organizes, and supports collaboration between the Rider Bonner Community Partners and the Rider Bonner Program. The role focuses on the development of site-based teams, their leaders, and ongoing partnerships with sites through regular communication and program evaluation.
Term Duration: Full Academic Year
Main Supervisor: Program Supervisor & Senior Bonner Intern
Qualifications: Must be an incoming senior. Must have Site-Based Team Leader experience. Must be available to be a Rider Bonner Summer Intern during the summer prior to their term, 10-6 hrs a week from July to August.
Hours per week: Complete 10-15 hours of in-person office hours.
Bonner Community Partner Support
Meet with the Site Supervisors once a month for feedback.
Support identification and implementation of capacity-building opportunities for community partners.
Communicate with Site Supervisors regarding Site Team Attendance, Site Base Team Leader Performance, and BWBRS signatures.
Maintain and update Community Partners information.
Site Team Leader Support
Bi-weekly check-in meeting with each Site-Based Team Leader.
Provide general support to Site Based Team Leaders.
Provide advice for budgeting costs for each site.
Develop & maintain a monthly report template that includes site attendance, partner signatures, site initiatives, and site challenges/issues.
Lead Intern team in designing, planning, and implementing the Site Based Team Leader training/orientation/retreat each semester.
Maintain Service Site Calendar & special events for Site Teams.
Oversee and manage the site initiatives.
Assist with the scheduling of transportation through Van Schedule and Carpooling.
Maintain & Update the Site Based on Team Leader Handbooks.
Help 21+ Bonners get van certified.
Intern support
Maintain rider.bonner@gmail.com and ensure interns are making everything in this email as a paper trail for future leadership.
Meet Bi-weekly with Supervisor and Senior Bonner Intern.
Attend weekly Intern Team Meetings.
Liaison to Senior Bonner Intern.
Lead Bonner Interview Day alongside the Senior Bonner Intern and Supervisor.
Assist with end-of-semester check-ins with all Bonners.
Coordinate service sites for the First Year Trip, be active support on the trip, be van certified, and lead activities.
Additional Assignments
Keeps Bonner Office Clean.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Senior Bonner Intern.
