A Gold Award community effort to preserve local pollinators and raise awareness for the plight they face.
Pollinators like bees and butterflies play a crucial role in our ecosystems, but their populations are declining due to habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. Without them, many plants—including the ones that produce our food—would struggle to survive.
This project was created as part of my Girl Scout Gold Award to address this issue locally. By building a pollinator garden at Sally K. Ride Elementary, I aim to provide a habitat for pollinators while also educating students and the community about their importance.
