This Privacy Policy explains how KD Automations ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects the personal information of drivers ("Captains," "you") who use the RideLink Captain application (the "App") and our related services.
By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
To provide you with ride-hailing services and connect you with passengers, we collect the following types of information:
A. Information You Provide to Us
Account Registration Data: Your full name, mobile phone number, email address (via Google Auth), and city of operation.
Vehicle Information: Your vehicle type, color, license plate number, engine number, and chassis number.
Profile Data: Information you provide to build your driver profile, which may include a profile picture (if applicable).
B. Location Data (CRITICAL)
Precise Location (Foreground): We collect your exact GPS location when the app is open and visible on your screen to show you nearby ride requests.
Background Location: The RideLink Captain App collects location data to enable the core functionality of finding nearby passengers and tracking your route during an active ride, EVEN WHEN THE APP IS CLOSED OR NOT IN USE. This is necessary so that you can continue receiving ride requests and ensure passenger safety without needing to keep the app open continuously.
C. Automatically Collected Data
Device Information: We collect information about your mobile device, including the hardware model, operating system version, device identifiers (like FCM Tokens for push notifications), and mobile network information.
Usage Data: Details about how you interact with the App, such as the dates and times of your rides, ride duration, distance traveled, and app crashes.
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
Providing Core Services: To match you with nearby passengers, calculate fares, and track ride progress.
Communication: To send you push notifications regarding new ride requests, ride cancellations, and system updates (via Firebase Cloud Messaging).
Account Management: To manage your subscription status, trial periods, and verify your identity.
Security & Fraud Prevention: To verify that you are a legitimate driver using Firebase App Check and to maintain the integrity of our platform.
Customer Support: To resolve disputes between drivers and passengers or assist with technical issues.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information in the following circumstances:
With Passengers: When you accept a ride request, we share your name, vehicle type, vehicle color, license plate, and real-time location with the passenger so they can identify you and track your arrival.
With Third-Party Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services that assist us in operating our App:
Google Cloud / Firebase: For database hosting (Firestore, Realtime Database), user authentication (Google Auth), cloud functions, and push notifications.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Account Deletion & Data Removal You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly within the RideLink Captain App by going to Settings > Delete Account. This will trigger an immediate removal of your profile and historical data from our active databases.

The security of your data is important to us. We use industry-standard measures, including Firebase Authentication and secure database transactions, to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
The RideLink Captain app requires specific Android permissions to function properly:
Location Permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION): Necessary for tracking and matching as described in Section 1.
Push Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Necessary to alert you of new incoming rides.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION): Ensures that the operating system does not kill the app while you are waiting for a ride or actively driving a passenger.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
