Privacy Policy — RideIntercom

RideIntercom ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Riderline Technologies.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long
we retain it, and how you can request deletion.

1. DATA WE COLLECT
a) Location Data (Precise GPS)
What: Your real-time GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, accuracy).
Why: To display your position on the shared ride map, calculate distance
to other group members, and enable convoy coordination. Location is
only collected while you are in an active ride session.
When collection stops: As soon as you end the ride session or close the app.
b) Voice / Audio Data
What: Your microphone input during Push-to-Talk (PTT) events.
Why: To transmit live voice to other members of your ride group. Audio is
streamed in real time and is NOT stored on our servers.
c) Account Information
What: Your name, phone number, and profile photo (optional).
Why: To identify you in the ride group and display your name/avatar to
other members.
d) Ride Session Data
What: Ride name, start time, destination, group membership, and PIN code.
Why: To create and manage ride groups and allow others to join via PIN/link.
e) Device and Network Data
What: Device model, OS version, and connection type (Wi-Fi / mobile data).
Why: To optimize audio quality and diagnose connection issues.
f) Push Notification Tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
What: A Firebase device token.
Why: To send you ride invitations and session alerts when the app is in
the background.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
- Provide real-time voice communication during ride sessions
- Show your location on the shared ride map to your group
- Send push notifications for ride invitations and session updates
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Improve app performance and reliability
We do NOT sell your data to third parties.
We do NOT use your data for advertising.
3. DATA SHARING
We share data only with the following parties, solely to operate the service:
- Other ride group members: Your name, avatar, and live location are visible
to members of your active ride group only.
- Firebase (Google): Push notification delivery.

- LiveKit (real-time voice infrastructure): Audio streams are routed through
LiveKit servers. Audio is not recorded or stored.

4. DATA RETENTION

5. HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA
You have two options:
a) Delete specific ride history:
In the app, go to Profile → Ride History → select a session → Delete.
b) Delete your entire account and all associated data:
Send an email to riderlinetech@gmail.com with the subject line
"Account Deletion Request" and include your registered phone number.
We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within
14 business days and send you a confirmation email.
When your account is deleted:
- Your profile, ride history, and account data are permanently removed.
- GPS location data is not stored, so there is nothing to delete.
- Audio data is not stored, so there is nothing to delete.
6. PERMISSIONS
The app requests the following device permissions:
- Location (Precise, Always/While-in-use): Required for the ride map feature.
You can revoke this in your device Settings → Apps → RideIntercom →
Permissions → Location.
- Microphone: Required for Push-to-Talk voice. You can revoke this in
device Settings.
- Notifications: Required to receive ride invitations and alerts.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
RideIntercom is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly
collect data from anyone under 13.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. We will notify you via the app or by email when
material changes occur. Continued use after notice means you accept the
updated policy.
