2019 Ride Alongside
The 2019 Ride Alongside will commence in Bunbury on Monday 6 May 2019.
The official start will take place at Bunbury Police Station at 8.00am.
On the first day we will travel on South Western Highway to Donnybrook, then on to Boyup Brook on Donnybrook-Boyup Brook Road, with official stops in Donnybrook and Boyup Brook.
Day 2 will start from Boyup Brook and travel to Kojonup, via Lake Towerrinning, Moddiarrup and Albany Highway with an official stop at Kojonup.
Day 3 will depart Kojonup to Katanning, then onto Gnowangerup through Broomehill, with official stops at Katanning and Gnowangerup.
Day 4 starts at Gnowangerup, travelling to official stops at Tambellup and Cranbrook and an evening function at Cranbrook Sporting Club.
Day 5 is the final day and travels from Cranbrook to Mount Barker for an official stop, then on the home straight to the official finish at Denmark Police Station at 3.00pm, Friday 10 May 2019.
In 2019, a total of 13 riders will test their spirit and endurance riding the 518 kilometre journey, which includes 3,241 metres of elevation gain.
Riders are predominantly current or former serving members of emergency services, defence and allied organisations. Riders will be supported by a dedicated volunteer crew escorting riders, maintaining bikes, preparing meals, refreshments and overnight accommodation.
Management of the 2019 Ride Alongside event is managed and controlled by the Ride Alongside Inc. Committee with appropriate insurances in place for riders and volunteers.
