Riddhiman Bhattacharya

Hello everyone! This is Riddhiman Bhattacharya. I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSC working with Professor Sangwon Hyun. Previously I was an AI Research Fellow in the Dept. of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Duke University and prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Purdue University under Drs Wei Sun, Thanh Nguyen and Mohit Tawarmalani. I was a PhD student at the Department of Statistics, University of Minnesota where I worked with Dr. Tiefeng Jiang and Dr. Galin Jones . My research works mostly focus on methodological development in Statistics with applications to Oceanographic data, Reinforcement Learning, Bayesian Modeling including Markov Chain Monte Carlo, Prediction and Fairness using EHR data.

I have been born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I did my schooling from South Point High School. Then, I joined the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata and got my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Statistics from there.
