Riccardo Pozza

I'm the Chief Network Architect at the 5G/6G Innovation Centre in the University of Surrey.
I've got my PhD in Electronic Engineering at the University of Surrey in July 2015 and previously an MSc. in Electronic Engineering at the University of Bologna in October 2011, as well as previously a BSc. in Electronic Engineering at the same university.

My responsibilities vary from managing and supervising the activities related to the 5G/6GIC campus testbed laboratory, including infrastructure equipment for RAN sites and IT machine rooms.
The activities I’m currently supervising include:

I’m also involved on several UK/EU and International projects, where the 5G/6GIC testbed is used or support is required, i.e. currently ESA 5G-TINA and SUNRISE 5G Pilot, DCMS Flex5G and FONRC TUDOR, UKRI UK India (UKI-FNI), EU 5G Vista and DEDICAT6G.

In less recent times, I've been working over the years at the IoT testbed design and development for data collection in the cloud from resource constrained IoT devices and on applying machine learning to such IoT data and protocols, as well as design for optimising energy efficiency.

In the past I worked and/or disseminated research publications for several projects: UK NCRM HomeSense, EU H2020 TagItSmart!, EU FP7 IoTLab, EUJ iKaaS, EU FP7 SocIoTal, EU FP7 iCore and EU FP7 SmartSantander.
