Ricardo Guerra

I am pursuing a Master's degree at Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), Brazil, under the supervision of Dr. Juan Moises Mauricio Villanueva. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering at UFPB in 2020 with an emphasis on control and automation, where one year was spent studying at Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, France (2018/2019). I am a member of the Applied Computational Intelligence Group (GICA). As a member of GICA, I was able to work at an R&D project targeting to build a deep learning based decision-making system for an energy distribution company in Brazil.

Some of the projects I've been involved in over the last few years:

• Member of the Computational Intelligence Group Applied to Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Paraíba (since 2015);

• Expertise in a Research and Development project, working on the development of an embedded artificial intelligence system to forecast electricity demand;

• Teacher's Assistant at the programming techniques course(2017);

• Researcher in a scientific project to analyze uncertainties in the measurements of a two-axis ultrasonic anemometer. (2018);

• Volunteer in an extension project for inspection of electrical installations at the Federal University of Paraíba (2018);

• Academic exchange at the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble (Grenoble INP) in France (2018/2019);

• Project in partnership with Siemens to develop an application in the Internet of Things (IoT) area (2019);

• Researcher in a scientific project for detecting and correcting demand curve outliers using artificial intelligence techniques (2019/2020);

• Graduation Thesis: Detecting Outliers on Demand Curves Using Unsupervised Learning Techniques and Deep Learning Techniques (2020).
