How to Play

Follow along with the music to navigate your way through multiple courses. Stay on beat to increase your multiplier, earning Notes to spend on new characters, new effects, new courses, and new songs!

Everything in this game can be unlocked without spending a single dime, although dimes are appreciated! This is a completely free game and can be completed to 100% without any in-app purchases.

The most important thing about playing RhythmBound is that you will have to learn some rhythm! Theoretically, you can play this game with your eyes closed if you knew the level layout, because all inputs are timed to the beat. If you are struggling to keep your tempo, try playing without sound and learn the visual cues too.

Each note has a white square the shrinks and it waits for its time to be tapped. Make sure to wait until that square is completely gone! If you tap as soon as it shrinks away and disappears, your tap will be perfectly on time.

Each note is also color coded, based on which side of the screen you need to tap. Purple edged notes are tapped on the right, while yellow edged notes are tapped to the left. Just another visual clue to help players that get off track.

Should you fall off track completely, the game will recover your cube friend and move them forward in the song. You wont need to tap for a few seconds because the song is catching up, allowing you the time to get your rhythm back. Focus on the music, and when the countdown finishes 3, 2, 1, GO! you tap on beat to the "GO!".

Make sure to use your notes to buy new tweaks in the shop. There are tons of different level styles and characters to try!

Once you reach expert, the number of styles you have activated is multiplied into your final score. This can be over 20x more points!
