If you want a high-speed, zero-delay wireless experience with massive storage and ultra-lightweight comfort for intense aquatic training, choose Rhyfell Bone Conduction Swimming; if you need a straightforward, durable MP3 player that prioritizes simple drag-and-drop file management and deep underwater stability, choose Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming.
• Rhyfell: Its biggest strength is the cutting-edge Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity paired with a blazing fast 18MB/s transfer speed and 32GB of storage, but its trade-off is the specific requirement for users to manage their own music library on a device designed for high-tech syncs.
• Pmjebe: It excels in classic simplicity with large tactile buttons and support for lossless FLAC formats via direct computer connection, yet it carries a heavier 50g frame compared to its rival and lacks the latest wireless standards for non-submerged use.
• Who picks Rhyfell: The serious athlete who wants to leave their phone behind during runs or surf sessions and needs a device that feels almost weightless while syncing playlists in seconds.
• Who picks Pmjebe: The swimmer who prefers a no-frills, rugged MP3 player where they can simply plug in a laptop, drop files, and rely on physical buttons without worrying about complex pairing protocols.
The Rhyfell Fit 5 is engineered for the modern, data-driven athlete who refuses to compromise on speed or weight. At just 28 grams, it stands out as one of the lightest options available, utilizing liquid silicone material to create an ergonomic fit that stays secure even during high-intensity triathlons or vigorous surfing. This isn't just about comfort; it is about eliminating distraction. If you are someone who finds traditional earbuds heavy or prone to falling out during a sprint, this open-ear design keeps your ears completely clear while delivering sound through your cheekbones. The minimal profile means you can wear it for hours without fatigue, making it ideal for those long sunrise marathons or sunset hikes where every gram matters.
Beyond the weight, the standout feature here is the integration of Bluetooth 6.0 and a massive 32GB internal drive. Most swimming headphones force you to choose between wireless convenience and offline capability, but Rhyfell attempts to bridge that gap. The Bluetooth 6.0 chip offers instant, zero-delay pairing, which is crucial when you are transitioning from a run to a swim and need your audio to sync immediately without lag. Furthermore, the 18 times faster transmission speed (18MB/s) means transferring thousands of tracks takes minutes rather than hours. You can carry your entire workout library locally, ensuring you never miss a beat even if your phone battery dies or signal drops.

However, this device is not for everyone. It is best suited for adults who are tech-savvy enough to handle digital file transfers and who prioritize wireless versatility over absolute simplicity. If you struggle with managing music libraries or prefer a device that works out of the box without any setup, the Rhyfell might feel slightly more involved than necessary. It is also worth noting that while it features a professional IP68 rating allowing full submersion up to 5 meters, the focus is heavily on the "all-day adventure" aspect, meaning the battery life targets 10 hours of continuous play. If you are looking for the absolute simplest, most robust tool for a quick lap session without needing a high-tech interface, there are other paths to consider. But for the fitness enthusiast who wants the lightest possible footprint with the fastest connectivity, this is a powerhouse.
Pmjebe takes a different approach, focusing on reliability, tactile control, and deep-water performance. The S3 model is built for the swimmer who values function over flash. Weighing in at 50 grams, it is noticeably heavier than the Rhyfell, but it compensates with a robust build and a design that prioritizes ease of operation underwater. The key differentiator here is the user interface: three large, tactile buttons. In a pool environment, where hands are wet and visibility is low, fumbling with touch controls or voice commands is a recipe for frustration. Pmjebe ensures you can change tracks, adjust volume, or engage shuffle mode mid-stroke with absolute confidence. This makes it an excellent choice for swimmers who want to stay focused on their form and breathing without breaking rhythm to figure out how to skip a song.
The audio engine is another strong point for this unit. It utilizes a professional 13.8mm bone conduction horn vibrator designed to deliver crystal clear sound both on land and underwater. While the Bluetooth signal naturally isolates once submerged, the device shines in its MP3 mode. It supports a wide range of formats including FLAC, WAV, WMA, and MP3, allowing audiophiles to store high-fidelity lossless files directly on the device. The 8GB of storage provides ample room for roughly 2,000 songs, which is sufficient for most regular swimmers. The ability to connect directly to a PC or Mac via USB for drag-and-drop file management is a timeless feature that requires no special software or apps, making it incredibly accessible for users who prefer a direct, wired connection to their music source.
This product fits the user who wants a dedicated swimming companion that doesn't require constant attention to battery management or wireless pairing. With an average battery life of 8 hours, it covers multiple training sessions without needing a recharge. The IPX8 rating confirms it can handle deep submersion, sweat, and water exposure without issue. However, the lack of the newest Bluetooth standard means it may not offer the same seamless wireless transition for dry-land activities like running as the newer competitors. It is also heavier, which some sensitive users might find noticeable over very long periods. Still, for the dedicated swimmer who wants a "set it and forget it" device with physical buttons and lossless audio support, Pmjebe delivers exactly what is needed without the bells and whistles.

In my opinion, the Rhyfell Bone Conduction Swimming is the superior choice for anyone who wants a truly modern sports experience. The combination of Bluetooth 6.0, the featherlight 28g frame, and the rapid data transfer capabilities makes it feel like a piece of future technology rather than just a pair of headphones. I would buy the Rhyfell because the 32GB storage and 10-hour battery life eliminate the anxiety of being tethered to a phone or running out of power mid-workout. That said, if you strictly want a simple MP3 player for the library or pool where you never need Bluetooth and prefer big buttons, the Pmjebe is a solid, reliable alternative. Ultimately, for a best usb c charging open ear earbuds for library setup or general high-performance use, the Rhyfell's advanced specs give it the edge in versatility and comfort.
Yes, both models feature open-ear designs that allow you to hear ambient sounds, making them safe for public spaces. However, since they transmit sound through bone conduction, they are generally less audible to others than traditional speakers, though you should always be mindful of local noise policies.
Both units meet professional waterproof standards (IP68/IPX8), allowing for full submersion. The Pmjebe is slightly heavier and may feel more substantial, while the Rhyfell uses liquid silicone for a flexible, sweat-resistant fit that is highly durable against chlorinated water.
No, both devices have built-in MP3 players. You can transfer music directly from a computer using USB cables—dragging and dropping files works well for the Pmjebe, while the Rhyfell supports high-speed transfers for larger libraries.
The Rhyfell weighs 28 grams, making it significantly lighter and less likely to cause neck strain during extended wear. The Pmjebe weighs 50 grams, which is still manageable but noticeably heavier due to its larger internal components and button layout.
