TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION FOR 2023-24 [For Classes from I to IX only]

1.  Admission is to be made, giving preference / priority for Railway Wards [i.e., Sons/daughters of Serving or Retired or Deceased Railway Employees. The Grand sons /Grand daughters / other relatives of Railway Employees are Not Railway wards]. If the available seats are filled by Railway Wards, no admission can be given for Outsiders. All other than the Railway wards are Outsiders. Separate forms [earmarked as ‘Railway Wards’] should be used by Railway Wards. Likewise, separate forms [earmarked as ‘ Outsiders’ ] should be used by Outsiders.

     2.       Totally, 129 vacant Seats are available only in I, III, V, VII, VIII & IX Classes as follows:

 I              --            80

III         –                 21

V          –             7

VII             –                 4

VIII            –                 4

IX               –             13

     3.  For I Standard, the Child should have completed 5th Year of Age as on 31.03.2023.

4.      PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING [applicable for both Railway Wards and Outsiders] :- Only any one of the following two methods, should be used :

(A)   First Method- Applying On-line : The Applications for admission can be downloaded from the website and submitted online, by uploading the scanned copy of filled-in application enclosing – (a) Xerox copy of Birth Certificate [in case of 1st standard. For other standards, the Transfer Certificate should be produced at the time of Admission] (b) Xerox copy of Aadhar Card and (c) Xerox copy of Community Certificate, if any.

(B)   Second Method – Applying Off-line: The Application [containing Three Pages including the Acknowledgement Page] should be downloaded from online, and printed in Green Bond Paper. After duly filling up the Application and enclosing the necessary Xerox Copy of Certificates, the same should be handed over at the Office of the Headmaster, Railway Higher Secondary School, CBSE, Perambur, Chennai.

5.      The Opening Date for downloading of Application online is 20th March, 2023 - Monday and the Closing Date for submission (online/offline) is  04th  April, 2023 – Tuesday.

6.      Admissions will be completed first for the 1st Standard Railway Wards and then for the other Standards Railway Wards.

7.      All the admissions for the 1st Standard Railway Wards will be completed from 06th April, 2023 – Thursday  to 12st April, 2023 - Wednesday. For other Classes, the admissions of Railway Wards will be completed from 13th April, 2023 - Thursday to 20th April, 2023 - Thursday.

8.      ONLY FOR OUTSIDERS :  Application from outsiders will be considered if only there is vacancy after admitting the Railway Wards. If Number of Applications received from Outsiders is equal to or less than the number of seats available after admitting the Railway Wards, the admission will be given for all the Outsiders. But, if the number of applications received is more than the seats available even by one number, then the Entrance Examination will be conducted and based on the Merit, the admission will be given to the Outsiders. The details about the Actual Position will be notified by 26th April, 2023 - Wednesday.
