Professional work experience
I’ve been fortunate to have lived and worked in two countries - the United States and the United Kingdom (UK). I lived in the UK for nearly a decade and in both countries I had the opportunity to be a part of a number of long-term and short-term projects in a variety of contexts: higher education (both two- and four-year institutions); military; law enforcement; and drug and alcohol rehab to name a few. I've worked alongside teachers; students; law enforcement and military personnel; health practitioners; and individuals trying to beat drug and alcohol addiction. I learned so much from the people I had the pleasure to work with and from the projects we worked on together.
Latest roles and projects
- Graduate Research Assistant — Rhetoric and Writing, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2020-Present
- Writing Center Tutor — University Writing Center, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2019-2019
The multifarious nature of my employment background has refined my ability to hit the ground running on new projects; to think on my feet and outside the box; and to quickly establish with collegues and stakeholders a rapport that facilitates good working relationships and getting things done.
