We had so many fabulous donations of goods, services, and just plain creative items that we move the auction online! Bidding ran from noon on Saturday, August 15 until 8pm on Saturday, August 22.
Auction items can be picked up on Monday, August 23, from 12-5. Please come to the Couper Room entrance at the back of the library.
If you cannot pick up your items at this time, please email us to make other arrangements.
Monday August 17 at 7 pm
Friday, August 21 at 12:00 noon
Join us for a scavenger hunt over zoom. We will provide the clues and participants will search for the items from the comfort of your own home. Winner will receive Kimball's gift certificates.
The popular guess-the-number-in-the-jar game returns with a few twists! Each day enter your guess of the number of items in the jars. Examine the pictures and submit your answers online.
One winner each day with the closest guess without going over will win a Kimball's Gift Certificate.
Sunday's Contest: Blades of grass! Congratulations to Brayden Halloran, who had the closest guess of 701 without going over the real total of 902!
Monday's Contest: Popcorn Kernels! There were 7288 kernels of corn in the jar! Congratulations to Sam McDonough who came closest with a guess of 7200!
Tuesday's Contest: Shells! There were 34 shells in the photo! Congratulations to Colby LaPointe who came closest with a guess of 33!
Wednesday's Contest: Cake Decoration Balls! There were 692 balls in the photo! Congratulations to Meera Gill who came closest with a guess of 620!
Thursday's Contest: Googly Eyes! There were 104 eyes in the photo! Congratulations to Kaitlyn, who came closest - without going over - with a guess of 87!
Friday's Contest: Pencils! There were 55 in the photo! More than one person guessed 54, and from those names, Maeda LaPointe was drawn as the winner. Congratulations, Maeda!
Saturday's Contest: Stuffed Animals! The winning name was Alyson Laing, drawn from the winners who correctly guessed 12 stuffed animals! Congratulations, Alyson!
A special thanks to Library Mini Golf, who will be providing stuffed animals to all child participants ❤️
All youth participants can register to receive a free Olie the Ocelot stuffed animal, provided by Library Mini-Golf! This is the company that normally sets up our Mini-Golf in the Library course, and they've kindly offered to provide stuffed animals to all youth who participate in our re-imagined virtual event.
The stuffed animal can be picked up at or outside the library this fall. We will email details in September.

A Story Walk is an outdoor reading experience whereby a children’s book is deconstructed and the pages of the book are laminated and placed on wooden stakes or in permanent kiosks along a walking trail. We will have 2 story walks set up:
Hartwell Family Memorial Preserve on Sunday, August 16 from 10am to 5pm
Stretch your legs on a walk around Hartwell Family Memorial Preserve while reading “Maybe Something Beautiful: How Art Transformed a Neighborhood” by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell. Start in the parking lot and follow the story kiosks around the yellow trail to the Old Stone Bridge. The story will be available from 10 am to 5 pm. Parking is available in the parking lot off Hartwell Ave. If the parking lot is full, we kindly request that you return at a later time.
Cloverdale Trail on Thursday, August 20 from 10am to 5pm
Explore the boardwalks and wildlife at the Cloverdale Conservation Area while enjoying “The Curious Garden” by Peter Brown. Start in the parking lot and head toward the boardwalk to follow the story kiosks around the loop. The story will be available from 10 am to 5 pm. Parking is available in the parking lot off Great Road. If the parking lot is full, we kindly request that you return at a later time.
Remember to practice proper Covid-19 precautions - wear a mask, keep your distance from other groups, and use hand sanitizer if you touch the story kiosks. We thank the Littleton Conservation Commission and Littleton Conservation Trust for collaborating with us on this mini-golf week event.
No sign up necessary for story walks - grab some sturdy shoes and head out the door!
