Unlike StackBlitz, legacy online IDEs run on remote servers and stream the results back to your browser. This approach yields few security benefits and provides a worse experience than your local machine in nearly every way.

Turned on the cab around 11:30 or midnight and there was a message about a beta for the first NfL Blitz game. Not 99 or 2000. Unfortunately I did not take a picture, but the message said something along the lines of either leaving or resetting the cab after playing online before playing the other two games offline...I forget. Hopefully someone else takes a pic. You then are given the option to do the update. Afterwards, you'll need to update your settings in the Live menu as far as whether you want to be visible to other players or not. You will also see a list of available players, similar to what I've seen in pics for MK and NBA Jam (i only have played BB and Marvel so this was new to me).

As far as the online play itself, I tried with a Wired connection so far. You'll need a USB to ethernet adapter for this cab if you plan to do this. I havent tried wifi yet. Someone joined my room and we played two games. Performance wise, there is definitely some noticeable input latency that is apparent even in the team select screen. The latency did feel pretty consistent throughout both games, and did not feel variable so I was able to adjust. Kicking a field goal can be tricky until you adjust considering hitting the button for a field goal offline already has to be done a bit early, and with input latency you will need to hit even earlier. Nothing too crazy though. The good news is in those two games, at least on my end, I did not experience a single lag spike, hard delay or rollback stutter, glitch, etc. We also had an interception and a fumble, and it could have been my imagination but I didn't notice any weirdness with the fumble either (dont hold me to it, I may have blinked and missed it). We finished both games without any desyncs or drops. Overall it was a surprisingly stable experience for me, and definitely smoother than what I initially experienced on the mvc2 cab. Granted, I have only played 1 person so far, so too low a sample to say much more.

In the chess community there are quite a few proponents of blitz settings (also bullet, etc) and plenty of Go players seem to enjoy blitzing, too. As a currently weak Go player, my concern with blitz (say, 10s/move) is that it may not actually improve my playing or understanding, but just reinforce my many shortcomings.

In my opinion, blitz go is harmful until you get to around dan level strenght. After that, it helps you to get learned principles automatized and to get experience faster. DDK can learn a lot from just single game. Dan player learning progress is much slower and playing many games is a little balancing that out.

I wonder if blitz may be good for strong players and perhaps not so great for weaker players, but I just base this on the view that blitz ingrains existing knowledge rather than building new one. At around which strength did you start and where did it take you?

So I have an actual nfl blitz arcade machine with the 4 player panel, I had some friends by and we were doing tournaments having an absolute blast. DIdn't think I'd want to get the arcade1up version without late hits, but seeing that it has online MP I would love to try that out. Anybody have any feedback on that?

OF COURSE 2700, 2800, 2900 blitz ratings in here and you can achieve FM easily if you are not already, so no need to talk about that. Also 1000, 1100, 1200 and you can just dream about it , also very obvious. So as my above example you can see even it's online ratings and yes just blitz , but they still matter more or less.

Let's just say that your 2200 chess.com blitz rating is useless in determining how close, or how far you are, from attaining an FM title. Playing OTB tournaments is the only way. Everything else is just a mere speculation.

I am an active member on online chess server I played there more than 5800 games. My stats as white are exactly same as black. I prefer playing 1 minute games, but sometimes I play 3 minute or 5 minute games. My experience is, that playing bullet or blitz games improve my tactics skills a lot. I have 2300 Fide rating, and I am still able to play 6 hours National league games, without any problems.

They don't want to let weaker players beat them by using a computer, that's the real reason. If Chess engines didn't exist there would be a lot more correspondence games and longer time controls. If you are a titled player there will undoubtedly be thousands of patzers eager to make you look foolish and pretend they are strong players by handing you a loss online.

And even in games between two strong players, just the thought that one might be cheating is reason enough for them to play blitz/bullet games instead, where they can rest assured that no one is cheating.

I'm starting to get into it in a serious way for the first time since a kid and I never used set openings or piece plays. I also imagined the main mode would be classical, because it always was the more calculated respected mode. The thing I realize about blitz mode is that most people who find it fun will get to a point where they cannot improve. I started to realize that every time I played casually against friends, I always start differently, it leads to a different result. The main way to improve for the casual but intelligent player is to start working on a starting formation, building a foundation for set-piece plays in different lines. I imagine professionals get much more from a blitz match than an amateur, because you can mash pieces together really quickly all day long but if you have no real reason for it then there is no purpose. I myself have no need for a mode outside of classical 20/30 minute games while I still work on some ground based theory.

My hunter is going for the auto-blitz build. But I am wondering which card I should add to my bow. Is the soldier skeleton worth it, or is cruiser with the archer set card better? Or is there any other suggestion for the card?

My hunter is going for the auto-blitz build. But I am wondering which card I should add to my bow. Is the soldier skeleton worth it, or is cruiser with the archer set card better? Or is there any other suggestion for the card?

I may not be just lvling at just brute maps though, that's why I'm in two minds about this.

My bow is Hunter bow[1] btw. Maybe I can get a Gakkung[1] and add a cruiser for when I'm lvl at brute monster map

Something you may want to consider is that your auto blitz procs (the number of hits) depends on your job level. So until job 41 your falcon isn't going to be doing a lot of damage, so it's probably a good idea to invest in a good bow for damage.
