I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto. I have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and another Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering. I bring extensive experience with a strong emphasis on computational and optimization applications in Sustainable and Smart cities, Reliable and Resilient Transportation Networks, Sustainable Transportation, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Emerging Technologies in Transportation (focused on E-buses and CAVs), Large Scale Network Optimization, Public Transit Planning, Demand Responsive Transit, Shared Mobility and MaaS, Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chains, Performance Analysis, and Service Pricing. 

I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering where I received it from Isfahan University of Technology under the supervision and co-supervision of Professor Nader Shetab and Professor Ali Emrouznejad in 2019. 

I also received my second Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Chan Wirasinghe and Prof. Saeid Saidi from the University of Calgary in 2024. Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto, Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering, in Transit Analytics Lab, under supervision of Prof. Amer Shalaby.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Mathematics in 2011 at the University of Kurdistan in Sanandaj, Iran, and earned a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering in 2013 from the Azad University, South Tehran Branch in Tehran, Iran (Learn more about my education, my honors and awards).

I have authored 22 papers in reputable journals such as Transportation Research Part E, Cleaner Production, Computer & Industrial Engineering, Research in Transportation Business & Management, International Journal of Sustainable Transportation, Kybernetes, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Journal of Industrial Engineering International, Sustainable Cities and Society, Neural Computing and Applications, Transportmetrica A: Transport Science, Healthcare Analytics, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Advances in Industrial Engineering, etc. (Read more). I have served as the lecturer for courses including "Transportation Systems Design and Management," "Linear Algebra and Introduction to  Operations Research 1" and "Industrial Management and Economics" for B.Sc. students, among others (Read more).

My recent focus areas include public transit planning, intelligent transportation systems planning, applications of machine learning in public transit (with a specific focus on on-demand transit), pricing, green and sustainable supply chain management, and sustainable development.
