If you want complete 360-degree visibility for a rideshare vehicle or fleet with integrated parking monitoring, choose REXING USA R4-RD; if you need a seamless, factory-style camera specifically designed for a 2024-2027 Jeep Gladiator that avoids windshield clutter, choose FITCAMX USED Front 4K+Rear.
• REXING USA R4-RD: Its biggest strength is the four-channel system with rotating side cameras and infrared night vision, offering true 360° coverage for complex scenarios like loading cargo or protecting against sideswipes. The trade-off is the physical complexity of managing multiple units and cables compared to a single integrated device. This pick is for drivers who need maximum surveillance, such as Uber/Lyft hosts or those towing roof cargo who need to see everything around them.
• FITCAMX USED Front 4K+Rear: Its biggest strength is its custom OEM integration that hides behind the rearview mirror of specific Jeep models, providing a clean look without drilling or hard-wiring. The trade-off is that it is strictly limited to the Jeep Gladiator market and offers only two channels (front and rear), leaving blind spots on the sides. This pick is for Jeep owners who prioritize aesthetics and a plug-and-play install over wide-angle perimeter protection.
The REXING USA R4-RD is built for people who treat their vehicle as a mobile office or a high-security asset. With four distinct 1080p cameras, this system doesn't just watch the road ahead; it watches the road behind, and crucially, it watches both sides. What sets this apart in the crowded dash cam market is the ability to rotate the dual side cameras inward. This feature transforms the device from a simple recorder into a cabin monitor, which is invaluable for rideshare drivers or parents keeping an eye on passengers. When you are dealing with roof cargo, having eyes on the side mirrors ensures you don't clip trees or garage doors when pulling out, a scenario where standard front-and-rear cameras simply fail.
The inclusion of infrared night vision on the side cameras is a technical detail that matters more than you might think. Standard sensors often turn grainy and useless in low light, but the IR capability here captures clear footage even in dark parking lots or during night driving. Combined with the OBD Smart Hardwire Kit included in the box, this system is ready for 24/7 parking protection right out of the package. You don't need to hunt down a separate hardwire kit or hire an installer to enable motion detection while the car is off. The collision detection locks important files automatically, so you aren't left guessing if your footage was overwritten after a minor bump in a parking lot.
However, this level of coverage comes with a setup reality. You are installing a multi-unit system with Type-C power connections and potentially more wiring than a single-camera solution. If you value a minimalist interior where no wires dangle or extra hardware protrudes from the windshield, this might feel bulky. But if your priority is absolute documentation of every angle—whether you are unloading equipment from the roof or documenting a sideswipe accident—you get exactly what you pay for. It is a robust, feature-heavy tool for those who need to see the whole picture, not just the view through the windshield.

This unit is engineered for one specific purpose: looking like part of the Jeep Gladiator itself. If you own a 2024-2027 Jeep Gladiator, the FITCAMX HD2-D4800 model is designed to sit directly behind the rearview mirror, blending seamlessly with the vehicle's original design. There is no suction cup hanging from your glass, no dangling wires running down the A-pillar, and no aftermarket bulk obstructing your forward view. For a driver who spends time off-roading or hauling gear on the roof, a clean windshield is essential for maintaining an unobstructed line of sight. This "no hard wiring" approach means you can install it yourself in minutes without stripping panels or tapping into the fuse box.
The video quality is a significant step up in resolution for the front channel, delivering 2160P (4K) at 30 fps, while the rear camera handles 1080P. The Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology mentioned in the specs helps balance exposure, ensuring that bright sunlight doesn't wash out the image while still capturing details in shadowed areas. This is critical for long drives where lighting conditions change rapidly. However, you must be certain about your vehicle compatibility before purchasing. The product description emphasizes confirming the exact year and style, such as the High Tide trim, because the cover shape is unique to the Gladiator. If your vehicle isn't a match, the fit will be wrong, and the aesthetic advantage disappears entirely.
There are limitations to this specialized design. It does not offer side or panoramic views, meaning it cannot record events happening to the immediate left or right of your vehicle. It also lacks the dedicated infrared night vision found on the REXING side units. Furthermore, the listing notes that the unit is "USED" and does not include an SD card, which requires you to source storage separately. Despite these caveats, for the Jeep Gladiator owner who wants a professional, factory-integrated look without the hassle of a full hardwire installation, this is a compelling solution. It sacrifices peripheral coverage for superior front-end clarity and a pristine interior aesthetic.
• Best for Roof Cargo Visibility → REXING USA R4-RD. The rotating side cameras allow you to monitor the edges of your load and ensure clearance when maneuvering, a task impossible with a single front-facing lens.
• Best for Clean Interior Aesthetics → FITCAMX USED Front 4K+Rear. The OEM-style housing hides completely behind the mirror, eliminating visual clutter on the windshield which is vital for maintaining a stock look in a Jeep.
• Best for Parking Lot Protection → REXING USA R4-RD. The 360° motion detection and impact sensing cover all four sides, whereas the FITCAMX only monitors front and rear impacts.
• Best for Video Resolution (Front) → FITCAMX USED Front 4K+Rear. The 2160P front sensor provides sharper detail than the 1080p sensors on the REXING, assuming you have the correct storage media installed.
• Best for Rideshare or Fleet Use → REXING USA R4-RD. The ability to rotate side cameras inward to capture cabin activity makes this the superior choice for monitoring passenger interactions.
• Best for Simple DIY Installation → FITCAMX USED Front 4K+Rear. The "no hard wiring" requirement and pre-molded fit mean less effort compared to setting up the REXING's multi-camera array and OBD connection.
• Best for Low-Light Side Coverage → REXING USA R4-RD. The dedicated infrared night vision on the side units outperforms standard sensors in darkness.
• Best Value for Specific Models → FITCAMX USED Front 4K+Rear. For Jeep Gladiator owners, the perfect fit eliminates the need for third-party brackets or modifications, offering a tailored experience.
I would buy the REXING USA R4-RD for my own needs, primarily because of the versatility required for roof cargo and unpredictable driving environments. The ability to see the sides of the vehicle via the rotating cameras provides a safety margin that a standard front-and-rear setup simply cannot match. While the FITCAMX is a beautiful piece of engineering for the Jeep Gladiator, I find the lack of side coverage too risky for general use. The REXING's comprehensive 360-degree approach, combined with the included hardwire kit, offers peace of mind that justifies the slightly more involved setup. If you are not driving a Jeep Gladiator, the FITCAMX loses its primary appeal, making the REXING the safer, more universal recommendation for anyone serious about total vehicle documentation.
No, the FITCAMX model described is specifically designed with an OEM-style cover for 2024-2027 Jeep Gladiator trims, so it may not fit other vehicles properly.
No, the product includes an OBD Smart Hardwire Kit in the box, which allows for continuous power and parking monitoring without needing to buy additional accessories.
The FITCAMX offers higher front resolution at 2160P (4K), while the REXING records all four channels at 1080p, trading raw pixel count for wider field-of-view coverage.
The used unit listed does not come with an SD card, so you will need to purchase a compatible memory card separately to start recording.
