Revvr
We believe riding together means trusting each other. Here's exactly how we handle your data — no legalese, no surprises.
Revvr is a group ride communication app for motorcycle riders. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using Revvr, you agree to the practices described here.
Revvr is operated as an independent app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Your real-time GPS coordinates while you're active in a ride session. Used to share your position with group members and power ride navigation. Location is only transmitted when you explicitly start a ride and stops when the session ends. We do not store your location history on our servers.
Your display name and optional profile picture, sourced from your Google account when you sign in with Google. Displayed to other riders in groups you join. You can update your display name in-app at any time.
A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token unique to your device, used solely to deliver push notifications — such as quick messages and group alerts from your ride pack. This token is not used for advertising or shared with third parties outside of Google's FCM infrastructure.
Anonymous app usage data such as screens visited, feature interactions, and crash reports. Collected via Firebase Analytics. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you individually. It helps us improve stability and understand which features matter most to riders.
Location data enables live group maps and ride coordination. Profile data lets your pack know who's riding with them. FCM tokens deliver real-time quick messages and alerts within your group.
Anonymous analytics help us identify bugs, improve performance, and prioritize features. We do not sell or monetize this data.
We may use account information to investigate abuse reports, enforce our Terms of Service, and keep the Revvr community safe.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your information for behavioural advertising or share it with data brokers.
Revvr is built on Google Firebase, which acts as our backend infrastructure provider. The following Google services process your data as part of app functionality:
Handles secure sign-in via Google OAuth. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Stores your profile, group membership, and quick message templates. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Delivers push notifications to your device using your FCM token.
Collects anonymised usage data. You can opt out of analytics in your device's app settings.
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties, affiliates, or advertisers. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Because location is sensitive, here's a clear summary of how we treat it:
Only during an active ride session, and only with members of groups you have joined. You control when a session starts and ends.
We do not store location history. We do not track you in the background. We do not share coordinates with advertisers or analytics platforms.
On Android, you will be prompted to grant location permission. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device Settings — the app will continue to work but ride tracking will be unavailable.
Your account data (profile, group membership, quick messages) is retained while your account is active. Live location data is ephemeral and not persisted after a session ends. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
You can view and update your profile information directly within the Revvr app at any time.
You can request account deletion by contacting us at the email below. All your data will be permanently erased within 30 days.
To opt out of Firebase Analytics, disable ad personalisation in your Google account settings or use your device's "Limit Ad Tracking" setting.
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings.
We use industry-standard security practices: all data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Firebase Firestore data is encrypted at rest. We apply Firestore security rules to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to view.
No system is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us responsibly at the contact address below.
Revvr is intended for riders aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and — for significant changes — notify you via an in-app banner. Continued use of Revvr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
