Luís FERREIRA

Luís Gonçalves Ferreira. Bachelor (Licenciatura) in History (2017) and Master in History (2019) from the University of Minho (Portugal). He is currently doing his PhD in Early Modern History with the project "Pobres, doentes e esfarrapados? Indumentária de pobres no contexto assistencial urbano do Porto e Lisboa (séculos XVII e XVIII)", funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and hosted at the Laboratory of Landscape, Heritage and Territory - Lab2PT (University of Minho). 

His research focuses on the history of clothing, poverty, and material culture from the methodologies of social, cultural, and gender history. The results of his studies have been published in papers and book chapters. He is the author of the book "Vestidos de Caridade: assistência, pobreza e indumentária na Idade Moderna. The case of Misericórdia de Braga", published in 2020, and awarded, in that year, by the Portuguese Academy of History.
